God is the Ultimate BEING, He is essentially transcendent, what we call Nirakar. It is His Shakti that is responsible for the Manifest world, what we call sakar. So too, the world over we do have a concept of Mother Nature . Supreme Goddess Durga is responsible for all creation. By asking Her for His alms, as Bhikshatan, Shivji affirms that the greatest Honour must be accorded to Her. Jai Ho Bhagwati Ma !! Aum Namah Shivaya!
