OM

Photo: OM

Om is considered the most sacred mantra. It is the sound that represents our higher power and the connection between each of us. Om is a cosmic vibration. It is not a chant made by us, created by us or initiated by us. We chant Om to establish a connection between ourselves and that which exists by its own right and which manifests itself as a sound-vibration in the form of Om.

“The syllable OM, which is the imperishable Brahman, is the universe. Whatsoever has existed, whatsoever exists, and whatsoever shall exist hereafter, is OM. And whatsoever transcends past, present, and future, that also is OM.”
~Mandukya Upanishad
