God will bring justice Into your life, don't give up.

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

God will bring justice Into your life, don't give up. We all go through situations that are unfair, life has thrown you a curve, it’s not what you had planned. Even though life is not always fair, God IS fair, and if you will keep your trust in Him, and not get bitter, but just keep moving forward. He will do justice to you. He always rewards you according to your deeds, good or bad. He keeps all records. HE is closely watching, and Will make sure you not only get what you deserve, but His justice is to pay you back with more. When you trust HIM, honouring Him with your life, you cannot be defeated. You may suffer a temporary setback, disappointment but if you’ll keep moving forward, it won’t be permanent. Know that one touch of God can turn any situation around. Dont be intimidated. God is not finished yet. God always ends in all is well, if all is not well, it is not the end. He will take every bad situation and use it to your advantage, it may not happen overnight. One must develop the determination that yes God will come to my rescue. HE will come to any devotee that has made up their mind that it doesn't matter what happens, they will not stop their love for God until he comes to my rescue. Only firmly fixed devotees obtain his mercy. Draupadis mind was fixed on Krishna, Markandyas faith dint waver when Lord Shiva protected him from Yama. Prahlad knew that Sri Vishnu would come to his rescue, no matter what! In Srimad Bhagwatam flickering mind is compared to monkeys. People who think that they have served the lord and served him for a long time, yet dint receive any result have mind like monkeys. Bhagwatam states that one should not give up chanting the lords name and serving him until the lord comes to see him face to face! Peace & More Peace ~ Hari Om Tat Sat Namah Shivaya ~ Boom Shankar!!

Indian festivals are meant for bonding relationships. Karwa Chauth is the festival for maintaining the love and affection between Husband and Wife. Karwa Chauth = Karwa (Earthen pot, a symbol of peace and prosperity) + Chauth (Fourth) = The festival of Karwa, which falls on the fourth day after the full moon of Kartik month. Indian married women observe a strict fast before sunrise and end in the evening sighting moon after performing all rituals. They don’t even consume a single drop of water in this duration. Karwa Chauth fast is observed for the long life of the husband. It is meant for maintaining strong bond between Husband and Wife.
Scientifically fasting has a biological relevance due to higher detoxification and protein synthesis in the body. As per the study of starvation-resistant biological program, it is proven that the stem cell potency and reproductive potential is preserved during the process. Whereas the high orgasmic frequency among human beings increase their span of living. Now if we attach both the results together, it is clear that fasting leads to longer reproductive capability among females. It directly affects her partner, thus increasing his life expectancy.
Along with this, praying to Moon during Kartik month has extra benefits as the coolness and calmness provides us with better body metabolism. The heat and energy in the body is controlled which in turn is concerned with the digestive, enzymatic, and endocrine systems.
The narrative of karwa chauth first took place between Shiva and Parvati. Shiva told Parvati about the significance of Karva Vrat. The mythological importance has also been mentioned in Mahabharata, where Draupadi inquires about the fast from Lord Krishna. In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna reminds Draupadi to do the Karva Chauth vrat ritual for Arjuna before he goes for battle. Ever since this vrat has been observed by married women till the present day. Married women who thus offer wishful prayer for saubhagya by observing the Karva Chauth Vrat, acquire saubhagya, progeny and lasting prosperity!! Jai Shiva Shakti ~ Jai ShankarParvati!!

ABOUT TIME

The Yogi and the snake's photo.

ABOUT TIME
“In fact, the mystic and scientist, were always brothers, looking for solutions to common limitations. One went within, the other without. But in their journeys, they drifted too far apart from each other, and the mystic remained a mystic, the scientist remained a scientist. Now, the time has come, when they must share the fruits of their wisdom, as brothers should. The modern mystic is already using the travel technology available to go across the Continents. There is no need for him to deprive himself of it. So, also the scientist should no longer deprive himself of the inner bliss, spiritual devotion and cosmic understanding known to the mystic. For, the scientist knows rational, he has a term, irrational. The mystic knows beyond rational. The scientist knows how to move with time, the mystic sees beyond time. The mystic had discovered, that even with regard to the cosmos, space is not the final frontier, light is not the ultimate speed, it is time we should learn to traverse. The mystic has so far been a discoverer, the scientist is largely an inventor. So, while the scientist is yet working commendably to invent a craft that shall make outer space travel common, he cannot discover a rational way to invent the time machine, whereas, the mystic knows he is the time Machine! But not just that, he knows that although time can be traversed, in life and over lifetimes, yet we are much more than just a time machine.” The Yogi looked emotional for just a fraction and then, looking into the distance, declared “There can be a great future with spiritual scientists and scientific spiritualists, for God is both”

Do not get upset with people or situations, both are POWERLESS

Sometimes bad things happen to people who seem undeserving of them. But God allows things to happen for His reasons, whether or not we understand them. However, we must remember that God is loving, kind & merciful.

Sometimes bad things happen to people who seem undeserving of them. But God allows things to happen for His reasons, whether or not we understand them. However, we must remember that God is loving, kind & merciful. Often things happen to us that we simply cannot understand. But instead of doubting God's goodness, our reaction should be to trust Him. Trust HIM with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” Instead of blaming God understand that Suffering is created by our own actions or karma, it is not given to us as a punishment. We suffer because we have accumulated many non virtuous actions in our previous lives or even now. We suffer because we are living in age where sin reigns in the heart of a man. It's mentioned in Shrimad Bhagwatam that "A Man will wear devotees dress and hold an axe in his hand to kill a bull. this wouldn't be a surprise if he would be wearing garb of a butcher. A wise person should always be suspicious of a person wearing Saintly cloths, they may be secretly performing heinous acts. This is kaliyuga and anything is possible in kaliyuga." Keep your circle positive, your karmas straight. Most of our sufferings comes from your thoughts, actions and reactions of the present and immediate past. Our hatreds, fears, jealousies, frustrations cause us to suffer. Most of our suffering therefore is self inflicted and unnecessary. Let go of the unwanted desires. Purify your soul through Bhakti, move close to him. He is so kind and wonderful, pleased by just a simple prayer. He will free you of all your sins and bad karmas. Once you have purified your mind, As a result of your pure actions everything you experience will be pure! Love, Light & Peace ~ Hari Om Tat Sat Namah Shivaya ~ Boom Shankar!

who, ever since He chose

Shiva is meditating and it is Shakti who smiles benificently on Him.

Shail Gulhati: Shiva and Mysticism.'s photo.

The whole world knows that Parvati is the greatest Bhaktin of Shiva. She is the one who gets the boon of inseparability from Him, she is his Shakti and takes birth to get married to Him: A Divine fact already established since eternity: Shiva and Shakti are always together. The phrase Pati parameshwar " the husband is God" is so literal with her.We all know that Shiva is her only devotion, her only subject object in life, and that she constantly meditates on Him.

But this very interesting picture shows the other side: Shiva is meditating and it is Shakti who smiles benificently on Him.Maybe this is the time between Sati and parvati, when Shiva was constantly thinking of her, she WAS his only meditation!

or maybe it is the time when the young Shiva can picturise His own shakti in the manifest form, He is trikaal darshi, he can have a vivid vision of the things to come. Whichever of the time periods, one thing is certain: Shiva is as devoted to Parvati as she is to Him, once again, showing by example that true love is timeless. Aum Namah Shivaye! Jai Jagdambe !

Sleeping Positions: Why North Is Not The Best Direction

Sadhguru looks at why Indians traditionally never slept with their heads pointing north, and explores a few other things that can help us sleep well and rest better.
Sadhguru: In India, you were told that you should not place your head to the north while sleeping. Why?

How your body is engineered

Your heart is not located half-way down, it is placed three-fourths of the way up because pumping blood up against gravity is more difficult than pumping it down. The blood vessels which go upward are a finer arrangement compared to those going down. As they go up into the brain, they are almost hair-like, to such a point that they cannot even take one extra drop. If one extra drop is pumped in, something will burst and you will have a hemorrhage.
Most people have hemorrhages in their brain. This does not incapacitate you in any major way, but small damages happen. You may become duller, which people are becoming. Your level of intelligence after the age of 35 drops in many ways unless you take enormous care to keep it up. You are managing because of your memory, not because of your intelligence.

What happens when you put your head to the north?

If you have any kind of blood-related problem, let’s say anemia, what would a doctor prescribe? Iron. It is an important ingredient in your blood. You have heard of the magnetic fields on the planet. In many ways, the earth is engineered because of its magnetism. That’s how powerful the magnetic forces are on the planet.
If you place your head to the north and stay that way for 5 to 6 hours, the magnetic pull will cause pressure on your brain.
When the body is positioned horizontally, you can immediately make out that your pulse rate drops. The body makes this adjustment because if blood is pumped at the same level, too much will go into your head, causing damage. Now, if you place your head to the north and stay that way for 5 to 6 hours, the magnetic pull will cause pressure on your brain. If you are beyond a certain age and your blood vessels are weak, you could have hemorrhages and paralytic strokes. Or, if your system is sturdy and these things don’t happen to you, you could get up agitated because there is more circulation in the brain than there should be when you are sleeping. It is not that if you do this for one day, you will fall dead. But if you do this every day, you are asking for trouble. What kind of trouble depends on how strong your system is.
So, which is the best direction to sleep with your head pointing towards? East is the best direction. North-east is okay. West is alright. South, if you must. North, no. This is true as long as you are in the northern hemisphere – sleeping with your head towards any side except north is okay. In the southern hemisphere, don’t put your head to the south.

Infographic - Tips to Wake Up Well

The right and wrong side of the bed!

Your heart is an important aspect of your physiology. The station that pumps life across the body – if this one thing doesn’t happen, nothing happens – starts from your left side. In India, the culture has always said that when you wake up, you must roll to your right side and then get out of bed. When your body is in a certain state of relaxation, its metabolic activity is low. When you get up, there is a certain surge of activity. So you need to roll over to your right side and get up because at a lower level of metabolic activity, if you suddenly roll to your left, you will put pressure upon your cardiac system.

Activate your body and brain

In the tradition, they also told you that before you get up in the morning, you must rub your hands together and place your palms upon your eyes. They said that if you do this, you will see God. It is not about seeing God.
Before you get up in the morning, you must rub your hands together and place your palms upon your eyes.
There is a heavy concentration of nerve endings in your hands. If you rub your palms together, all the nerve endings are activated and the system comes awake immediately. When you wake up in the morning and still feel sleepy and drowsy, just do this and see, everything comes awake. Instantly, a whole range of nerves connected with your eyes and other aspects of your senses come awake. Before you move your body, your body and brain should be active. You shouldn’t get up dumb, that’s the idea.

Whatever I am now, it's all because HE poured out his favours on me.

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

मेरा मुझ में कुछ नहीं , जो कुछ है सब तेरा
तेरा तुझ को सौंप दें , क्या लागे मेरा !!
Whatever I am now, it's all because HE poured out his favours on me. Yet its not I, but HE who is working through me. It's his grace, his blessings, It's from him that all other grace flows. All glories to The Lord! Har Har mahadev!! And a big Shout out to all the beautiful people who help this page grow. A special thanks goes out to those who encourage me with their kind and generous words through out!! All glories to HIM! Yes he with in you al. Merge more into him! Keep doing Sadhana without expectation of any fruit. Nishkama karma surely benefits us. It is like strewing seeds and moving on. You should not think that you have attained nothing, being in this spiritual path. For there is nothing to be attained. Everything is inside. We should be thinking if what we are able to do is enough. That's purification of inner mind. When you pray or chant, it is like watering the root of a tree. It's for the purification of your own soul. When we do actions selflessly, our mind clears up the dirt, the dust and our ego, and we are able to see the God within. Sadhana is to cleanse the mind. And When the mind is clear, God will be revealed within! Pull out the weeds from the garden of your soul. They only hinder your progress. Discipline helps good thoughts and qualities to develop, which in turn leads to Shraddha. For one who has Shraddha, everything becomes Puja. Nothing will be wasted, and remember spiritual investment will never go waste. If within the mind, evil thoughts, gossip and slander finds root, God leaves, demon resides in the mind. They say that every sin we commit, we commit twice, once in our thoughts and again when we act upon those thoughts. It is easier to rid our lives of sin if we attack it at this fundamental thought level rather than waiting for it to become rooted in our lives by our actions and then try to pull it out. There is also a difference between a thought entering into the mind and dwelling upon an evil thought and wallowing in it. It is important to understand that when a thought enters our mind, we examine it and determine if we should continue or reject the thought. Don't make it a habit of getting stuck with the bad thoughts. God will bless those who honour Him with what matters most to Him, who we are inside and not just what we appear to be to others. Mann Se Ravan Jo nikaale, Ram Ussi ke Mann mein!! Jai Shri Ram ~ Hari Om Tat Sat Namah Shivaya!!
Lots of love and many blessings to you all!

He, the keeper of our little bowl,
He is Shiva the Lord,

Kedarnath Jyotirling First Snow Fall

12 Jyotirlingas Of Lord Shiva's photo.

ૐ Kedarnath Jyotirling First Snow Fall ૐ
People as per their faith believe in different gods. Some have faith in Lord Rama, some have faith in Krishna. To some lord Shiva is dear, to others lord Vishnu is dear. Some have faith in Maa Durga while others have Hanuman Ji close to heart. Some have Jesus and some Allah.
"Ekam Sat Viprah Bahundha Vadanti", there is one God whom we call by various names ~ Rigveda.
In fact God is one, forms are many. Due to faith of different persons in different manifestations of God, they are known by different names. But in whatever form you love God, he reciprocates you back in the same way. Krishna says in Bhagwat Geeta " however Men approach me and surrender unto me, even so do I seek them". Many paths to the same goal. The only thing necessary in life is to have faith in God and its immaterial in which you seek him. If you have faith in him and you love him then it's for sure that God shall be with you always and shall reciprocate to the love that you shower on him!

The Month of Kartik begins today. It's significance is mentioned in various Puranas. Kartik Month is the most favourite month of Shri Vishnu.

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

The Month of Kartik begins today. It's significance is mentioned in various Puranas. Kartik Month is the most favourite month of Shri Vishnu. The sin destroying month of Kartik is said to be endowed with divine influence. As per Shrimad Bhagwatam, Kartik month is ever so dear to Lord Vishnu and is the bestower of both worldly pleasures and moksha.
In Skanda Purana, it's mentioned that Lord Brahma had revealed to Narad that 'Kartik' was supreme among all the months just as lord Vishnu is supreme among all the deities and Badrikashram is the crown of all the places of pilgrimage. According to Brahma all these three would have greater significance in Kaliyuga as compared to any other yuga. Kartik is very dear to Lord Vishnu and any virtuous deed done during this month never goes without being rewarded. One important characteristic of this month is that all the deities live in the proximity of human beings for the entire period of the month and accept everything that is offered to them. Penance done in this month or donations made during this month is believed to give Imperishable virtues. There is a special significance of donating food grains during this month. Similarly, worshipping Shaligram during this month also has great significance. Observing austerities during this month or worshipping lord Vishnu with appropriate rituals liberates one's ancestors from the tortures of the hell. Worshipping Lord Vishnu with petals of Lotus helps him to become absolved of all the sins committed in his previous many births.
Worshipping lord Vishnu with tulsi leaves helps one in getting cured of incurable diseases. Because Tulsi was born on the lunar day of the full moon in the month of Kartika, Lord Narayana prescribed this day for her worship. Whoever worships her on this day and on the month of Kartik will be freed from all sins and go to Vaikuntha. Whoever, out of reverence, gives Lord Vishnu a Tulasi leaf in the month of Kartika, will gain the same benefit obtained by giving the gift of ten million cows. Among all articles which are offered to the Lord, tulasi is most highly praised. Therefore one may perform perfect worship of the Lord by simply offering pure water and tulsi leaves.
According to the Garuda Purana, tulsi must always be offered in the naivedyam.
"Tulsi vina ya kriyate na puja, snanam na tat yat tulasivinakrtam
bhuktam na tat yat tulasi vinakrtam, pitam na tat yat tulasi vinakrtam"
Means ~ Puja, bathing and offering of food and drink performed without tulasi cannot be considered as puja, bathing and offering to the Lord. The Lord does not accept anything or drink anything that is without Tulsi, as per Brihad Naradiya Purana
As per Padama Purana, one who worships lord Vishnu/ Krishna with Tulsi leaves attains the results of all kinds of austerity, charity, and sacrifice. In fact, he has no other duties to perform, and he has realized the essence of the scriptures. Padama purana states one who puts mud from the base of Tulsi tree on his body and worships the Deity of Lord Krishna gets the results of one hundred days worship each day!
Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya Namah ~ Om Namo Narayana ~ Jai Shri Vishnu!

Let go and let God. Whatever is meant to happen for you will happen. Trust God and stop carrying all the burdens yourself, surrender to HIM.

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

Let go and let God. Whatever is meant to happen for you will happen. Trust God and stop carrying all the burdens yourself, surrender to HIM. Give your worries to him. Before getting upset, ask yourself "will this even matter in 6 months, or year or even 5 years. If the Answer is No, just let it go" To let go does not mean you are a failure, it does not mean that you are powerless. It just means that we have taken inventory of our lives and have decided to let go of the excess baggage. We have learned to let go of the weight that so easily beset us. We have accepted the fact that we are not in control of our lives, God is. He is more capable of handling our problems than we are. It means to make a total surrender to God’s will for your life. Surrender to His plans. Follow on His path. Let Him direct your life. Accept the things happily. Whatever will be will be. It's just a test. God tests to confirm and strengthen. God tests in order to give us an opportunity to display your true character. Every test God brings into your life is an opportunity for you to shine and advance to another spiritual level. Even if the tests are difficult, they have a wonderful purpose. God does not give any severe test until He knows you are equipped for it. One of the great things about God is that He does not give us tests we cannot pass. His tests come when we are prepared. He supplies an extra measure of grace to help us through times of testing. He is kind And faithful. He just wants us to know that It is in times like these we need a savior, we need an anchor, one that grips the solid rock. This rock is God. Yes, he is the only One. Be sure to hold on to him in all times, good or bad! Love, Light & Peace ~ Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya!

Meditation has become an alternative method of healing.

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

Meditation has become an alternative method of healing. Meditation is not just meant for yoga masters who sit on mountains in the Himalayas. Meditation is very useful for coping with stress, anxiety and many medical problems. Meditation is very useful in balancing a person's physical, mental and emotional states. Meditation has deep rooted connections with world's great religions and all religions practice mediation. The main purpose of meditation is to remove suffering and to heal.
There are two major types of meditation.
Concentrative Meditation : This kind of meditation focuses on one particular object. It may be breath, an image, or a mantra. This kind of meditation enables the mind to come to a stand still and thus allowing greater awareness. The simplest way to practice concentrative meditation is to quietly concentrate on a breath or object. It has been found that one's breath is directly correlated to one's state of mind. This can be explained by the fact that when a person is agitated or tensed his breath would be rapid, uneven and shallow. On the contrary when the mind is focused, calm and composed then the breath is deep, slow and regular. As one focuses on the breathing as in the inhalation and exhalation, the mind becomes attuned to the rhythm as a result the breathing becomes deeper and slower. Thus the mind becomes calm and tranquil.
Mindfulness Meditation : Mindfulness meditation is not to be confused with concentration. In this form of meditation, the person who meditates assumes the role of an impartial observer. Contrary to concentration where the practitioner focuses all attention on a single object, in mindfulness meditation, all experience/aspects of experience are welcome. The aim of mindfulness meditation is not to be focused, but to be aware of the present moment. It also involves attentiveness with regard to the breathing process so as to be rooted to the present moment. All ideas, thoughts, feelings, images etc. which arise in the mind are encouraged. In other words, if the mind wanders, it is allowed to wander. All thoughts are welcome. They are not judged, evaluated or discriminated. The practitioners of mindfulness meditation simply sit and observe the mind. This form of meditation can be applied to all areas of life. Mindfulness meditation is all about embracing the present moment in any place, at any given point of time, during any activity!!!

PARASHAKTI

PARASHAKTI
In the beginning was a God
Called Shiva
a little forgetful about who was He
So she handed him a mirror and said “see”
An aeon passed in self admiration
And then, He spoke
“and who, may I ask, are Thee?”
I am you, she said, Shiva.
But you may call me Shakti
That will enable you to see
you as you and me as me.
This is amazing he cried! How can it be?
You are you and I am me,
Yet you insist that not two, are We!
Ah what a mystery!!
And So saying held her tenderly…
Shiva,
she whispered silently,
We have been in timeless embrace
Not just a moment ago, as you perceive,
and now i must leave.
This is fun, don’t let go,He did plead
But a pristine motherhood already glowed
it is only to enhance the show, do believe!
there is more,so much more,
so saying,Parashakti, mother of all,
brought forth this world,of mountains, oceans , trees
and seating herself in the centre,of each,
once again did Shakti beseech,
Her Lord, Shiva
to see.

Shiva will guide you to your goal!

12 Jyotirlingas Of Lord Shiva's photo.

Some see Him as Mahayogi, Some see Him as the householder,
Some see Him as destroyer, Some see Him as Lord of Lords,
Some see Him as Rudra the fierce, Some see Him as Bhairva the terrible one
Some see Him as Natraja, Some see Him as Bholenath,
Some see Him as Ardhanarisvara, Some see Him as Kailashpati,
Some see Him as Gangadhar, Some see Him as Mahakaal,
Some see Him as Umapati, Some see Him as Omkara
No matter in what form you try to seek Him, He is inside all of us. Just close your eyes and call Him, Shiva will guide you to your goal!

We all have troubles, we all have bad days. Or even months or years.

12 Jyotirlingas Of Lord Shiva's photo.

We all have troubles, we all have bad days. Or even months or years. Don't loose heart, even Lord Rama and Shiva suffered. and so will you, no matter how much you love God. But the presence of trouble in your life doesn’t mean the absence of God. Trouble may actually help you experience the reality of God’s presence in deeper ways, if you respond to it by seeking God. He is never missing from your life, even when He seems to be. Look at your circumstances from Lords perspective, it's an invitation to draw closer to Him.
Choose to trust him, He has a plan to bring good purposes out of even the worst circumstances. Pray to him, feel His love for you, ask him to show you whatever He wants you to learn from what you’re going through, and never lose hope. Praise God to invite more joy into your life, seek a closer relationship with God Himself rather than seeking changed circumstances, and focus on God rather than on your troubles. Give your troubles to God. He will take care of everything if you trust Him to handle your worries, so stop striving to handle them yourself. Instead, follow His guidance every step of the way to deal with your concerns successfully and peacefully. Keep in mind that the troubles in your life will be pale in comparison to the riches you’ll receive as you draw closer to God. He is our sole refuge, he is our only rock, be one with him!!

The Times

The Yogi and the snake's photo.

The Times
“But now”, hastened the snake, “ I want to love everything”.
“Ah” , said the Yogi, “but why did you choose nothing instead?”
“Because, when I saw periods of great sorrow and destruction, and realised my inability to do anything about it, I wanted to escape from it all; to, a void, to nothing. An escape from the unpredictability of life; that gave way to the counter thought, why is it that we want ultimate release from all life?”
“We shall speak of escape later”, said the Yogi, “but for now ,let us examine sorrow and evil. To me, the excess of these do not indicate the end of the world, in the sense we should passively wait for self destruction. To me, they serve as indicators of spiritual inertia. Every being is Divine, but only a handful realise this. I am banking on the trust that even these handful of realised beings can actualize the welfare of others, by sheer vibration; the wind don’t forget, carries their message. In other words, let the doctors, engineers, scientists, mechanics, do their job. The spiritualist has a job too, to create love and kindness in the air, nay, to give a fresh air. The mystics know that such a time comes periodically, when there is danger of annihilation; they call it Kali yug. This can be overcome only by men of Shiva consciousness. They must face the challenge, such a time signals their call for performance. And, they come to use their most massive energies, using also the energies of mystics before them. They too, must prove the growth in their field. Verily the Great Sikh Guru Gobind declared that one holy warrior could fight over a hundred thousand foes. I ask you, in today’s time is it not significant that one good man of God can pray for Universal well being and neutralize the effect of a hundred thousand ignorant beings? Meditate upon this.”

Here was a God sitting serenely in meditation, a technical God? Someone who loved his wife and children, and was so much at ease with Nature.

Don't walk, Run away from toxic people before you are infected too

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

Don't walk, Run away from toxic people before you are infected too. Ignore these people and move on from them when you must. Seriously, be strong and know when enough is enough! Letting go of negative people doesn’t mean you hate them, or that you wish them harm, it just means you care about your own well being. Because every time you subtract negative from your life, you make room for more positive! Respect yourself, be strong. And Wake up! Negativity is contagious. It perpetuates itself, breeds dissatisfaction and clutters the mind and then happiness is hard to come by. Don't compromise, Stand up for yourself! There's no need to put on a mask. There's no need to pretend to be someone you are not. You don't have to worry about what others think about you. Let people love you for who you are, not for what you are not. Don't care if they are judgemental. The only person that can judge you is God. He loves you anyway. So be thankful to him for the endless blessings and pray for strength to carry the burdens! He will not leave you, nor forsake ~ all glories to him ~ Har Har Har Har Mahadev !! Boom Shankar!!

If there is no enemy within, no enemy outside can hurt you. It starts on the inside. You control your thoughts. The only person who can hurt your happiness in the long run is YOU.

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

If there is no enemy within, no enemy outside can hurt you. It starts on the inside. You control your thoughts. The only person who can hurt your happiness in the long run is YOU. All the frustration and the anger we hold are manifesting themselves as the enemies within. When we are calm and content, we don't consider anyone our enemy. And nothing bothers us. None can hurt us. You can be your worst enemy and loose friends, ruin your reputation, miss opportunities. Your own mind and your own fears make things seem worse than actually they are. It's self created miseries, self created fears that are preventing you from conquering the challenges. Master the thoughts and emotions, they are your biggest enemies. "Man hi karta, Man hi bhogta". Once you are able to conquer the mind, no outer challenge can hinder your growth. It only takes one person to make you happy and change your life, that's YOU. Your life will improve only when you take small chances, and the first and most difficult chance you can take is to be honest with yourself. Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are. It could be so much worse. It is not what happens to you, but how you respond to what happens to you. Count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles. Look for something positive about this moment. Even if you have to look a little harder than usual, it still exists. When you smile about the life you live, you end up living a life worth smiling about. Remember, any kind of comparison is the thief of happiness. You could spend a lifetime worrying about what others have, what others are doing, but it wouldn’t get you anything. Happiness comes more easily when you feel good about yourself without feeling the need for anyone else’s approval!! Love, Light & Peace ~ Boom Shankar!!
Namaste ~ Shubh Prabhat!!

Today is Sharad Purnima

ૐ The Shiva Tribe ૐ's photo.

Today is Sharad Purnima. There is a close connection between the moon and the Sharad Purnima, the moon is believed to be close to the earth on this day and it is believed that moon’s rays contain nourishing elements. People believe that as the moon is nearest to the earth on this night and as the moon’s rays has several curative properties it will be helpful to human beings. So people spend the evening under moonlight. On Sharad Purnima, the moon and the Earth are very close to each other. The rays of the moon have some healing properties which is said to nourish the body and soul of an individual. That is why food kept in the moonlight on Sharad Purnima is considered equal to Amrit (the immortal drink) or elixir. Hence, people in the Eastern regions follow a custom of preparing kheer and keeping it open under the moonlight throughout the night of Sharad Purnima. The next day it is consumed by all the members of the family as it becomes 'Amrit' according to local beliefs. The night of Sharad Poornima holds its own significance. It makes the mind peaceful and reduces the effect of 'pitt', one should acquire this important moonlight on this night. Maharishi Ved Vyas in Shrimad Bhagwatam has described the night of 'Sharad poornima' as the night of the Raasotsav of Lord Krishna on the earth, because unlike the moon showering the cool nectar Lord Krishna too, showered 'Bhakti ras ' on the earth. thousands of fortunate Gopis enthrilled themselves by enjoying the bhakti ras in the accompaniment of Lord Krishna. The day of Sharad poornima is celebrated with full enthusiasm in Brij, Mathura, Vrindavan. As the Lord says "Pushnaami Chausadhi : Sarvaa Somo Bhootvaa Rasatmak" ~ I provide strength to the medicines in the form of Moon. Moon means calmness in the spiritual form ,one should remain undisturbed by the outwardly unfavourable conditions and be powerful deep within so that one cannot be affected by troubles, big and small. Even Many divine incarnations faced many problems in life. Shri Krishna faced problems from the very moment he took birth, Shri Ram was sent to exile at the time of his coronation, he had to leave for the forest barefooted instead of acquiring the crown. but still he was calm ,and did not lose patience. Lord Krishna himself faced so many hardships but always kept smiling. hence he has been named Krishna Chandra (Moon). Lord Shiva himself is known as Chandrashekhara, the lord who holds the moon on his head. Someshwaraya, Shiva the lord of lords with moon! Hari Om Tat Sat Namah Shivaya ~ Jai Shri Chandarshekharaya Namah !

No fireworks in Golden Temple this Diwali

AMRITSAR, OCTOBER 27: The holiest of Sikh shrines, Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple, in this city of Punjab will not be lit up this Diwali in the wake of desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib, an official said here on Tuesday.

"Following the incidents of desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib across Punjab, we have decided not to celebrate Diwali this time," Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Avtar Singh Makkar said.

He said there would be no illumination of the Golden Temple and there will be no fireworks display.

The Amritsar-based SGPC, the mini-parliament of Sikh religious affairs, controls Sikh shrines across Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The SGPC has also urged the Sikhs not to celebrate Diwali with fireworks but light only earthen lamps.

Every Diwali, which is also celebrated in the Sikh religion as 'Bandi Chhor Diwas' (prisoner liberation day), the Golden Temple is illuminated with millions of lights and attracts tens of thousands of devotees.

On Diwali, the sixth guru of the Sikhs, Guru Hargobind, returned to Amritsar on being released along with 52 princes by Mughal emperor Jahangir from the Gwalior prison in 1619.

This is the third time in 30 years that there will be no Diwali celebrations at the Golden Temple.

One of the occasions was in 1984 to protest Operation Bluestar, the army operation to flush out militants holed up in the Golden Temple.

MONEY

The Yogi and the snake's photo.

MONEY
I need to ask a few questions about things that are in focus today, said the snake, what about money?
What about money? asked the yogi, it has always been in focus.
Well what of it? asked the snake.
Enjoy money, said the yogi, only, don’t let it deprive you of whatever comes for free, don’t let it deprive you of friendship with the transpersonal doers.
Can a moneyed man be spiritual? asked the snake.
Why not? answered the yogi. Man has only made the currency. But money is evaluated in terms of what it can buy. Whatever it can buy, wherefrom has all this come? Break everything down to the elements and you are back to Nature again. It can buy food, livestock, tents, a home, gems, metals, contraptions? All these belong to God in any case. Is money unspiritual? No you cannot blame the piece of paper. What goes wrong then? a moneyed man, a man of means, gets so involved with those means, he forgets the end. He gets so externalized, he seldom finds the time, or has the need to introspect, to meditate; therefore the chances of his making contact with the source, become minimal. He remains joyous with these toys, to which he has easy access. We say he is distracted. Not attracted to the source of joy, within. We say he is deluded. Such a man, is rarely compassionate, indifferent to the welfare of fellow beings, and prone to oppressiveness and unrightful authority. Where there is unrightful authority, there is hell.
But, is such a man, who inspite of his money, doesn’t lose track of the end, doesn’t lose kindness, love and other things that money can’t buy, can he not be spiritual? If a moneyed and kind? Will heaven not welcome him then.
So, enjoy money, with a through understanding about its limitation. Understand the mystic character of money, it deprives you of what it can’t buy. Do not let it deprive you of harmony.
