ऊँ Kirnotsav in MahaLakshmi Temple Kolhapur ऊँ
Temple was constructed in Kolhapur in Chalukya period (550 A. D. to 660 A. D.) . It is one of ‘‪#‎Shaktipeethas‬’ Nested in the tranquil laps of the Sahyadri mountain ranges and it is situated on the banks of the river Panchganga.
‪#‎Kirnotsav‬ in Mahalakshmi Temple Kolhapur (festival of Sun rays) is celebrated when the sun rays fall directly on the deity's Mahalakshmi idol at the time of sunset on the following days :
9th November : Sun rays fall directly on the feet of the deity.
10th November : Sun rays fall directly on the chest of the deity.
11th November : Sun rays fall directly on the entire body of the deity.
This year diwali fall on the same day when sun rays fall directly on the entire day of Mata Maha lakshmi .
