The magnificent Shivalinga at Kashi famously known as Kashi Vishwanath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

The magnificent Shivalinga at Kashi famously known as Kashi Vishwanath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Just as the Sun is visible in the whole world despite its presence at a particular point in the horizon, in the same manner Kashi has its influence throughout the length and breadth of the world. Vishwanath or Vishweshwara Jyothirlinga has tremendous significance. Kashi Vishwanath temple is the most important temple among all the twelve Jyotirlingas. As per the Kashi Khand of Skanda Puran, the temple was constructed by God Vishwakarma and even Ravana contributed in its construction by sending gold from his kingdom Lanka. It is said that the benefits gained by the darshan of other Jyotirlingas in various parts of India, goes to the devotee by a single visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The main deity is known as Vishwanatha or Vishweshwara, which means the Ruler of the Universe. According to Kashi Khand of Skanda Puran, after the construction of the palace of Lord Vishwanath (Kashi Vishwanath temple), when Lord Shiva along with Goddess Parvati entered in it, at that time all Gods and Goddess appeared to honour Lord Shiva. On this occasion Lord Shiva, stating the glory of the Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga said, "All the self manifested Lingas of the universe come here to take the holy glimpse of this Linga, though I reside in all the Lingas but this Linga is my best idol”. “This Linga, if offered a sacred bath of holy water of river Ganga and worshiped with devotion, the worshiper is blessed with all types of Health, Wealth and happiness and gets freedom from the eternal cycle of rebirth and any food offered to this Linga provides a stay at Kailash Parvat with me to the number of Yugas equivalent to the number of particles offered in the Bhog Food”. By touching the Vishweshwar Ling and praying, the devotee gets free from all sins accumulated over past two generations.” A devotee who, with pure devotion, pours holy water on the Linga and offers just one flower to Lord Vishweshwar, gets the blessings equivalent to performing a pooja with hundreds of Golden Flowers.” If a devotee takes his last breath here, Lord Shiva himself whispers the Taraka Mantra, salvation mantra in his ears. Also at the same time the devotee is directly taken to the holy abode of Lord Shiva at Mount Kailash instead of being taken by Yama!

FORGIVENESS

SHIVA, The Ultimate Time Traveller.'s photo.

FORGIVENESS
“Mein mein…” A bleating sound was heard. A goat head had appeared on Daksha’s body, and he was looking at Shiva, folding his hands in salute.
“I am sorry for whatever I have done: uncreated a divine era; that too, as father of the bride,” said Daksha.“I have caused great sorrow by disrespecting and abusing the mighty and great Lord Shiva, who has always given boons of happiness to everyone all His life. I am sorry, my Lord, for this terrible waste of life I have been, wasting also the golden opportunity of having been a father to the Goddess Herself, and a father that I should have been to you, as your father-in-law. It is good that you have given me a Goat’s head. It will help me to always remember, that even while being bestowed with the privilege of being made a human, and supposedly the most intelligent of all species by Brahma Himself,
I behaved like a bull-headed creature. Arrogant about the elementals in your refuge, who were only deformed in body, whilst I was deformed in mind. Now, as a goat, I shall remember, that God and Nature create all. All are worthy. Please forgive me.”

Such is the dance of many forms,

Shiva Poetry's photo.

SUCH IS THE DANCE!!
Devi Parvati and Her Lord,
Shiv
in an eternal Dance.
A breathtakingly meditative scene
of becoming, and being.
Yin and Yang,
Wu and Wei,
Transcendence in manifestation,
His potency and Her kinetics!
His stillness and Her dynamics!
Her Shiva!
And His Shakti.
Aum!
Such is the dance
of many forms,
such is the pristine being.
Such indeed the play of Shakti Shiv,
the seer
who has become
the seeing.

KALI YUGA

The Yogi and the snake's photo.

KALI YUGA
The mystics know that such a time comes periodically, when there is danger of annihilation; they call it Kali yug. This can be overcome only by men of Shiva consciousness. They must face the challenge, such a time signals their call for performance. And, they come to use their most massive energies, using also the energies of mystics before them. They too, must prove the growth in their field. Verily the Great Sikh Guru Gobind declared that one holy warrior could fight over a hundred thousand foes. I ask you, in today’s time is it not significant that one good man of God can pray for Universal well being and neutralize the effect of a hundred thousand ignorant beings? Meditate upon this.”

Varanasi or Kashi is a Mukti Dham. The seventh of the jyotirlingas Vishvanatha is located in the city of Varanasi or Kashi. It's said that death at Varanasi brings salvation. Varanasi is also known as the favourite city of the Lord Shiva as it has been mentioned in the Rigveda that this city in older times was known as "Shiv ki Nagri". it's said Shiva resides here. This city is supposed to stand on the Trident of Shiva. The city on the banks of River Ganga comes with hundreds of Ghats to it. There is religion seeped into the very air of this place. It's said that the city remains intact even after Pralaya Kal or the end of the world. Ganga emerges from Gaumukh and flows down towards the plains to finally immerse itself in the waters of Bay of Bengal. Goddess Ganga is worshipped in the temples around the Ghats of Varanasi. She becomes extremely divine in Haridwar. Lord Shiva allowed Ganga to come down to earth from the heavens by taking its waters in his Jatas. He saved Ganga from going down to Patal Loka, the land of Rakshasas. Varanasi is a city of temples and every lane and by-lane has a temple of its own. One can spend a lot of time on the steps of its innumerable ghats.!

Don’t let what’s happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.

เซ The Shiva Tribe เซ's photo.

Ships don't sink because of the water around them; ships sink because of the water that gets in them. Don’t let what’s happening around you get inside you and weigh you down. It's Stress Free Sunday, Namaste Beautiful People ๐Ÿƒ Remember all the negativity in the world can’t bring you down unless you allow it to get inside your head. If you think your ship is sinking it might be a good time to throw out all the stuff that's been weighing it down. Let go of what's bringing you down and surround yourself with what brings the best in you. You will find that it is necessary to let some things go, simply for the reason that they are heavy. So let them go. Let go of petty grudges. Life is far too short to be spent nursing bitterness and registering wrongs. Let go of the idea that everyone has it better than you. If the grass looks greener on the other side. Stop staring. Stop comparing. Stop complaining and START watering the grass you’re standing on. Let go of expired ideals. Growth and Change is painful. But in the end, nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you do not belong. Let go of yesterday’s guilts and tragedies. You are not what has happened to you; you are what you choose to become in this moment. Drop the needless burden, take a deep breath and start again. Let go of seeking happiness from outside. Happiness starts from within. So Keep your focus on all the positive possibilities and opportunities. Start making adjustments today that will instantly help you feel better, think more clearly, and live more effectively! Love, Light & Peace ~ Hari Om Tat Sat ~ Jai Shri Mahakal ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

People often run behind the contemporary life but modern life wears us down it puts tremendous amount of stress on us- running behind man made things can place a burden on our brains and bodies. Scientists have compiled evidence that suggests that a connection to nature is vital to our psychological and physical health because it helps recharge our brains so that we are better able to cope with the stresses in life. Indirectly we all are attracted to the nature but are get more and more addictive to things like TV, computer, FB, tweeter which can also make our life stressful and unfit.
Step outside on a bare foot where there are trees and other greeneries, leave your cell phone behind and get recharged.
We all know that the nature is the most beautiful thing on the planet. Manmade construction may be attractive but we get bored so fast and seek for the nature. Watching God made beauties like trees, flying butterflies birds, flowers, mountain, waves in the ocean, getting wet in the rain river, watching sunshine fills us with vitality, makes our life blissful and peaceful.

There must be reason why we are born. We are born to complete many tasks.

12 Jyotirlingas Of Lord Shiva's photo.

There must be reason why we are born. We are born to complete many tasks. To help us, God gifted us with body, senses, and extreme brainpower more than any other creatures so we can successfully perform our tasks happily. In addition, HE also gave us freewill a freedom of choosing thoughts. Basically we are product of our thoughts. Our thoughts force us to act and action provides us results. It is a wonderful thing in a way but it can also create problems if our thoughts tend to go off target. Our mind wavers often sometimes we can’t think right we get confuse, sometimes don’t know what to do, we find ourselves as a failures because we underestimate ourselves. We are our own worst critic and our greatest obstacle in life is self-doubt.
First thing never underestimate yourself, no you are not a failure. Think from now on every upcoming moment is yours, game is not over yet. Never give up, you have to believe in yourself and never underestimate your ability to flourish. Remember you can do just about anything you set your mind to. Hold yourself to a higher standard daily. Your family, friends and co-workers all look to you for their cues. Treat yourself to a higher belief system. Trust, and let go. God didn’t make you worthless. Each day you have a new chance to develop new ideas, reach for new goals, and conquer new mountains. Hunt down your dream like it’s the last flight of the night. Go get it! Get that rid of that excuses and fear now it’s time for an action. Imagine what you could do if you "got out of your own way" or "got out of GOD's way"! Have faith in God He is always with people who tries not who cries…Om Namah Shivaya
