Ayyappa jyothi

Thousands of people on Wednesday lit ‘Ayyappa Jyothis’ across the state to protect the century-old traditions of the Sabarimala temple amid reports of attack on women participants from some parts of the state.
The event, organised under the aegis of the Sabarimala Action Council (SAC) — an umbrella outfit for various Hindu organisations fighting against the entry of women of all ages to the hill shrine — was backed by the BJP and was held to counter the Women’s Wall planned by the state government.
Claiming that 21 lakh devotees took part in the event in Kerala, SAC convener and VHP leader S J R Kumar alleged that women participants were attacked in many parts of north Kerala by CPM men. As many as 31 people, including 10 women, were reportedly injured in various incidents in Kannur and Kasaragod. Kumar said that the CPM was worried over the participation of women in the event in their strongholds.
The lamps were lit along the national highway, at a gap of one kilometre, from Kasaragode district in the north to Thiruvananthapuram district in the south. Apart from Kerala, the jyothi was lit in 11 other states too.

Several leaders from the BJP, RSS and various Hindu organisations, like Nair Service Society, took part in the programme. BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai said the Ayyappa Jyothi would force the state government to change its stand on Sabarimala.

Our Aroli Temple is getting a new facelift with works in progress going on.

Temple work are still in progress.

The Padipura is being constructed.

The Compound wall's work has just began and it cost a bit more than we had expected.

Almost 1,300 stones were carved and used for 'Chuttumathil' while the remaining 1,500 stones are still remaining for carving works and they will be used for the same purpose. About 15-17 stones are carved per day by one person.

The woods for the 'Chuttumathil' has yet to be bought. We are planning to get them from Karnataka. Over there, we must go there and bid for the woods. Our Carpenter has given us the list of woods that we need to source from there.

'Ayyapa bhajana' is being planned in the temple.

We will update all of you on the progress of works done and when available, video views on the construction works that are been carried out.

Anyone can perform basic Abhishek to Lord Shiva at home.

Anyone can perform basic Abhishek to Lord Shiva at home. The Meaning of Abhishek is Snan or Holy Bath to Lord. There are many types of Abhishek. Most important Abhishek to Lord Shiva is RudraAbhishek. Rudrabhishek is tough and only priest can perform it. Any devotees who wants to perform basic abhishek daily in prayer room of house can perform one with Holy water or Panchamrit Abhishekam. The simple rules of Abhishek are mentioned below. The favourite leaves of Shiva are bilva patra. We should offer few bilva leaves and white flowers while worshipping Shivling.
1. Holy water Abhishek – One can please Shiva by performing Abhishek with Holy water from any holy river like Ganga. One can please lord shiva easily if shiva snan is done with Holy water. Drinking One drop of water from Shiva snan helps attain freedom from all sins. One will get enternal blessing of Shiva.
2. Panchamrit snan ~ The meaning of Panchamrit is 5 nectar combination to please Lord Shiva. The Holy bath to lord with 5 nectar is Known as Panchamrit abhishek. The Five nectar substances are Sugar, Curd, Honey, milk and Ghee.
Start with Hymns praising Lord Shiva or the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ to create a mood for worship. Then, the devotee sits in front of the Shivling and blows conch. First it is the Panchamrita abhisheka. While pouring the liquid, Om Namah Shivaya is uttered. After the Panchamrita Abhisheka, Shivling is cleaned with Ganga jal. After this Shivling is smeared with sandalwood paste and is decorated with flowers.
Water and sandalwood paste is used to keep the Shivling cool, as Poison during Samudra Manthan Had burnt Shivas throat. In Shiva temples, cooling liquid constantly drops from pot hung above the Lingam. It's called Dhara Patra. Offer sweets, coconut and fruits to the Lord after Abhishek. Camphor and incense are lit and Aarti is sung. White ash (vibhuti) is rubbed on the forehead. Finally Fruits, sweets and coconut are distributed as ‘prasad.’ 👁🐍🕉🐚🌸🔱📿💀🌀🌙🌷🔔🙏

We all have problems in life. Some are small, others are big. But whatever life is throwing our way, the one thing remains true ; We think about solutions and worries, whether it’s productive or not. sometimes this thinking can become so constant that it’s impossible to stop. The harder we try to stop thinking, the more intense our thinking becomes. Its all about learning the art of acceptance and letting go.

🕉 Namaste Lovely Souls. It's time for Today Vibes.🌀👁🌀The first thing we need to realize is that thinking cannot be stopped. It only stops when the mind is left alone. The very effort to stop thinking will create more anxiety and conflict. You will be in a constant turmoil within. And even if you succeed in stopping it forcibly for a few moments, it is not an achievement at all. You may feel a sort of stillness, but not silence, because a forced stillness is not silence. Underneath it, deep in the unconscious, the repressed mind goes on working. So, there is no way to stop the mind.
Instead, it’s far more fruitful to learn the art of acceptance and simply watch the mind work. Don’t try to stop the mind or the thinking ; just watch it. Allow it total freedom. Let it run as fast as it wants. You just be a witness. Overtime, you’ll begin to create a gap between the observer and the mind, which is Zen.
“The deeper your watchfulness becomes, the deeper your awareness becomes, and gaps start arising, intervals. One thought goes and another has not come, and there is a gap. In those gaps, you will have glimpses of no-mind. Call it taste of Zen, or Tao, or Yoga. Through non-attached witnessing, eventually this will give you more control over the mind. Non-attached witnessing is the way to stop it without any effort to stop it. And when you start enjoying those blissful moments, your capacity to retain them for longer periods arises. Finally you become master. Then when you want to think, you think; if thought is needed, you use it; if thought is not needed, you allow it to rest. Not that mind is there, but you can use it or not use it. Now it is your decision! Love, light & Peace 🕉👁🐍📿🌀🔱💀🌿⌛️🌙🏔📿🌷🔔🐚🎨
