Four Modes of Consiousness
It is one consciousness which functions in four different ways:
The mind which performs the perceiving function of the consciousness.
Judging, discriminating, enquiring, agreeing, disagreeing, etc., which is called the intellect is the second mode of consciousness.
Memory which is involved with storing that which has been perceived.
Identifying with what has been perceived is the fourth mode of consciousness which is called the ego.
Therefore manah (mind), buddhi (intellect), chitta (memory) and ahankar (ego) are the four different functions of consciousness.

Q: What is Kundalini energy? How do we use it?
Guruji: Our life itself is Kundalini energy. Kundam is the body or pot, and the energy inside that is the Kundalini energy. If this energy was not there, we would not be able to do kriya or anything else. All our experiences are due to the the kundalini energy within us.

Q: I am interested in some things and passionate about others. What should I follow? My interest or passion?
Guruji: Passion is the biggest driving force in your life, but it should be kept in the right place. Your passion should go through the filter of your intellect and wisdom, then it will work miracles for you.

Q: What is the difference between free will and destiny?
Guruji: Just know that life is not entirely free will or destiny alone. It is a combination of the two. For example, your height is your destiny and your weight is your free will.

You cannot change the world overnight. But you can surely change yourself overnight; that is possible.
=====================
You cannot ‘make’ or 'choose' someone as your Guru. You simply believe that someone is your Guru. We often say that "I have 'chosen' or ‘made’ someone my Guru". If a disciple thinks that he can ‘make’ someone his or her Guru, then that is not so.

Q: What is the sign of being in Brahmagyana (self-knowledge or the knowledge of the absolute)?
Guruji: When you neither ask for, nor give any explanations, and when you do not complain about anything, then that is a sign of being in knowledge.
