Lord Hanuman too has many names, but most are rarely used. His most popular and well known name is "Hanuman".

In the Hindu pantheon, deities typically have many synonymous names, each based on the noble characteristic or attribute or reminder of that deity's legendary deed. Lord Hanuman too has many names, but most are rarely used. His most popular and well known name is "Hanuman".
Hanuman means "one having a jaw (hanu) that is prominent (mant)". This version is supported by a Puranic legend wherein baby Hanuman mistakes the sun for a fruit, attempts to heroically reach it, is wounded and gets a disfigured jaw.
A second, less common interpretation is that the name derives from the Sanskrit words Han ("killed" or "destroyed") and maana (pride); the name implies "one whose pride was destroyed". This epithet resonates with the story in the Ramayana about his emotional devotion to Rama and Sita. He combines two of the most cherished traits in the Hindu bhakti-shakti worship traditions: "heroic, strong, assertive excellence" and "loving, emotional devotion to personal god".

Hindu scriptures presents many stories, which explain how Ganesha obtained his elephant or gaja head.

Hindu scriptures presents many stories, which explain how Ganesha obtained his elephant or gaja head. The stories also reveal the origins of the enormous popularity of his cult. Devotees sometimes interpret his elephant head as indicating intelligence, discriminative power, fidelity, or other attributes thought to be had by elephants. The large elephant ears are said to denote wisdom and the ability to listen to people who seek help.
Apart from most famous legend about Shiva decapitating his son Ganeshas head in Shiva Maha Purana , there's another famous legend mentioned in other scriptures. Once, there existed an Asura (demon) with all the characteristics of an elephant, called Gajasura, who was undergoing a penitence. Shiva, satisfied by this austerity, decided to grant him, as a reward, whatever gift he desired. The demon wished that he could emanate fire continually from his own body so that no one could ever dare to approach him. The Lord granted him his request. Gajasura continued his penitence and Shiva, who appeared in front of him from time to time, asked him once again what he desired. The demon responded: "I desire that You inhabit my stomach." Shiva agreed.
Maa Parvati went to her brother Shri Vishnu, asking him to find her husband. He, who knows everything, reassured her: "Don't worry, dear sister, your husband is Bhole Shankara and promptly grants to his devotees whatever they ask of him, without regard for the consequences; for this reason, I think he has gotten himself into some trouble."
Shri Vishnu, the omniscient director of the cosmic game, staged a small comedy. He transformed Nandi (the bull of Shiva) into a dancing bull and conducted him in front of Gajasura, assuming, at the same time, the appearance of a flutist. The enchanting performance of the bull sent the demon into ecstasies, and he asked the flutist to tell him what he desired. Shri Vishnu responded: "Can you give me that which I ask?" Please liberate Shiva from your stomach."
Gajasura understood then that this must have been no other than Vishnu himself, the only one who could have known that secret and he threw himself at his feet. Having agreed to liberate Shiva, Gajasura asks him for two last gifts: "I have been blessed by you with many gifts; my last requests are that everyone should remember me adoring my head and you should wear my skin."
Shiva then brought his own son Ganesha there and substitued his head with that of Gajasura. From then on, in India, the tradition is that any action, in order to prosper, must begin with the adoration of Ganesha. This is the result of the gift of Shiva to Gajasura.!🐘🌷🌀🌻🌸📿🌺🍚🕉🐚🌿🌼🙏🏻🌸🌺

Your departed ancestors can help solve all our problems during the performing of ritual of Shradh

Your departed ancestors can help solve all our problems during the performing of ritual of Shradh. They live in the world of Pitru lok. Lord Vishnu in his aspect of Surya, the Sun God, is the King of these Pitru. It is believed that 64 Generations of your dead ancestors can help solve your problems. Mahalaya Shradh is the final day of Shradh and the most important day of Pitru Paksh fortnight. It is also known as Sarvapitri or Sarvapitru Shradh and falls on the Amavasi (Amavasya) or no moon day.
Sarva Pitri Amavasya means “all father’s new moon day” is meant for all ancestors, irrespective the lunar day they died. It is the most important day of the Pitru Paksha and those who forgotten to perform shraddha, can do so on this day. The shraddha done on this day is considered as fruitful as one done in the holy city of Gaya.
Rituals to be Performed on SarvaPitri Shradh day:
If you want to do rituals yourself, you need perform “Tarpan Viddhi”. “Tarpan Viddhi” means giving special offerings to the departed spirits, especially on the new moon days. Often the offerings consist of black sesame seeds, cooked rice, and water. Sesame seeds particularly, are the food of the spirits. You should know that on the new moon day, the departed spirits visit the earth plane and stay with their biological relatives from dawn to dusk! Fasting during the new moon day will alert your consciousness to be in communion with their spirits.
If you wish to perform ritual yourself, you can perform the following Tarpan Viddhi by yourself on this day:
1. Take a reasonable sized clean “Taambe ka lotta” (Copper vessel)
2. Pour “Ganga Jaal” (Holy water) into the vessel and make it half full (if you don’t have holy water, take regular water and treat it as Holy water)
3. Pour “kacchaa dudh” (unprocessed milk) into the vessel and make it full
4. Add 2 spoon of “Kaale Til” (Black Sesame seeds) (you can find this in any Indian store)
5. Take 3-4 Kusha sticks and simmer them like a spoon inside the vessel (if you don’t have them it is fine)
6. Place another empty clean vessel of steel or any other metal in front of you
7. Now Face yourself towards the south direction
8. Holding the Kusha sticks such that they don’t fall, prepare yourself to pour the content from Copper vessel into the other vessel that is empty.
9. While you pour the content from Copper Vessel (SLOWLY) into the other vessel that is empty, chant the PITRA Gayatri Mantra:
Om PitraGanay Vidhmahe Jagat Dharinaye Dhimahi Tanno Pitro Prachodyat ~ Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya Namah! 🌸🔆🌷🌀🙏📿🌸🐚🕉🌸🐍🌷🕉🌀🙏

Pitru Paksha also known as Shraadh or Kanagat start with Purnima Shraadh, ends after 16 days on Sarva Pitru Amavasya which is also known as Sarvapitri Amavasya or Mahalaya Amavasya. Hindus pay homage to their ancestor (Pitrs), especially through food offerings.

Shraadh in Pitru Paksha is the time to remember, thank and honor our ancestors. It is believed that during the time of Shraadh , ancestors come to earth to bless their kin. The relevance of Shraadh can be best known from one of the greatest epic of all time Mahabharata.
Post the war between the Kauravas and Pandavas, when everything ended, Karan (Danveer Karna, brave warrior, one of the greatest legends in the war of Mahabharata) died and reached heaven, he was offered food in the form of gold, silver and jewels. On this, he questioned Indra (the lord of heaven) the reason for offering him such a food. On this, Indra told Karna that throughout his life donated gold, diamond and silver, but, never donated any food in the name of his ancestors. Karna reverted that as he was not aware about his ancestors; hence, he never did it. So, Indra asked Karna to come back to earth, where he donated food, made Tarpan during the sixteen days.
The last day of Pitru Paksha is known as Sarvapitri Amavasya or Mahalaya amavasya. Mahalaya amavasya is the most significant day of Pitru Paksha. Person who do not know the exact date of our ancestors death anniversary, they pay homage and offer food on this day.! 🌷🌀🕉❤️📿🐚🌸📿🐍🔆🌸🙏🕉
