Lord Shiva plays the Veena and sings Dhrupad, to please Devi Parvati.

Photo: Lord Shiva plays the Veena and sings Dhrupad, to please Devi Parvati. The Kashmir Shaiv Darsana : Kashmir Shaivism tells us that In the vijnanbhairava, he instructs her 112 yoga dharanas to reach self realisation. One of them is Geet vishaya Svad: to delight in the joy of music till one forgets everything, and abides only in pure consciousness and joy, a state which is Sat chit ananda!

And like Nandiji, other bhakts can take the priceless darsana knowledge and learn from it.
Dont forget Shivji has expounded anoother 111 dharanas to suit different temperaments. He wants that all should reach the stage of Self Realisation,
that all should "Re -cognise" the Shiv Tattva within. Ehile our page likes to do its best to give excerpts based on this priceless philosophy from time to time, and will continue to do so, please do look up the Siva sutras, Vijnanbhairava , Pratyabhijna hrdyam and other great Kashmir shaiv darsan scriptures for yourself. Aum namah Shivaya!
