Sri Kotilinga Panchamukha Amritalingeswara Swamy Temple

In this holy place a Shivalaya was constructed by Bali Chakravarthi. Legend has it that Shri Rama and Lakshmana in Tretayuga and Pandavas in Dwarparayuga offered prayers to Lord Shiva here. According to “Kathasarithsagara” of 3rd century satavahanas and according to “Bhimasena Jataka” 6th century and “Neravanija” by Srinadha of 15th century records also reveals that they (Rama et al) visited Mukteswaralaya. In 1946 Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi known as the incarnation of Lord Shiva also visited this sacred place. This shrine houses Kotilingams (1 crore). People can go there and offer prayers along with Pranapratishta of shivling.
