Abhishek is the process of bathing the deity.

Pouring water or milk on the Shivling is Abhishek. Abhishek is the process of bathing the deity. According to Shiv Aagam (Poojaa rules) Abhishekam is considered as one part of the Shodashopachaar Pooja. Lord Shiva is pleased by the process of bathing. If you pour even a drop of water on the shivling, you will get the blessings of Shiva. Since Shiva is widely worshiped in the form of the Shivling, One should perform the abhishek to get the blessings of Shiva.
In Shiva temples, a pot made up of copper or brass with a hole in the centre is kept hanging over the Shivling, and water is falling on it throughout the day and night. Shiva drank the poison that emanated during the churning of the ocean and wore the Ganga and the crescent moon to cool His head. So constant Abhishek is done to cool his head.
Pouring water, milk, ghee, curd, honey, Panchamrita is Abhishek. All you need to do is to take and mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Offer the mixture to the Shivling. Mantras are chanted and Shiva is propitiated by Abhishek.
Milk signifies purity and piousness.
Honey is for sweetness.
Ghee is for victory.
Sugar is for happiness.
Curd is for prosperity and progeny.
Abhishek literally means “to cleanse.” Before starting the ritual, a devotee washes his hands and pours water over the shivling. However, this practice is not to cleanse the Shivling, as God doesn’t need any cleansing. He is the purest, but it is an implication of cleaning oneself. Later milk is poured on the Shivli g, which is a connotation of purifying one’s life and washing all the sins from oneself. ! 🌺👁🕉🔱🌸⌛️💦🐍🌷🐚🌼📿🌀💦🌺🌙🏯🌷🔔💦💀🌸🗿🙏🌻💦🌺

Shiva and Shakti are manifestations of the all-in-one divine consciousness - different sides of the same coin. Shakti is the motherly love of God that surrounds us with warmth, caring and protection. Shiva is the paternal love of God that gives us consciousness, clarity and knowledge. Lord Shiva is generally portrayed holding a trident, which represents the trinity of Ishwara, Purusha and Prakriti. Ishwara is the omnipresent, eternal, formless divine principle; Purusha is the Atma and Prakriti is the manifestation, nature. They both are soul mates. Bhavani served him with great love. Bhavani means the wife of Bhava, or Lord Shiva. Bhavani, or Parvati, the daughter of the King of the Himalayas, selected Lord Shiva, who appears to be just like a ascetic, as her husband. In spite of her being a princess, she undertook all kinds of tribulations to win Lord Shiva, who did not even have a house, but was sitting underneath the trees and was absorbed in meditation.
Although Bhavani was the daughter of a very great king, she used to serve Lord Shiva just like a simple down to earth girl. She served him with great love and affection, and knew how to win him. Therefore, she is designated as Sadhvi, which means "a chaste, faithful wife." Her rare example is the ideal of Vedic civilization. Every woman is expected to be as good and chaste as Bhavani. Today in Hindu society, unmarried girls are still taught to worship Lord Shiva with the idea that they may get husbands like him. The girls are not taught to select a husband who is very rich or very opulent for material sense gratification; rather, if a girl is fortunate enough to get a husband as good as Lord Shiva, then her life becomes perfect.
Lord Shivas choice of living as a simple god attracts devotees the most. He is also known as Bholenath, The Innocent god. He easily gets impressed by his devotees and in the scriptures we have seen that many demons worshiped him just for the sake of getting boons. Shiva knew their intentions but still granted them boons. His greatness cannot be described in words. He always think about his devotees before his family. When Devi Sati ended her life , Mahadev himself would have destroyed the Daksha yagna , but no , he sent a small part of him as Veerbhadra to destroy Daksha yagna . because he knew his anger will not only destroy the yagna but the world. It teaches us not to be selfish, always think about your actions before it could hurt others, no matter how much hurt you are.! 🌺👁🌀🌙🌷📿🕉🌿🔱🌸💀🍃⌛️🌻🐍🔔🐚🍂🌼🎨🍂🙏

By gaining respect for yourself, you gain the respect of others.

Trust the process. Embrace each chapter, endure each plot and read each page. Don't let anger grow in you. Keep shining brighter when haters try to dim your light. By ignoring the haters, you get stronger, and move faster toward inspiration. By gaining respect for yourself, you gain the respect of others.
Haters want you to conform to them. They want you to do what they want you to do.
You are creating a path where nobody has ever gone with your art, and haters want to hold you back. Refuse to conform to other peoples’ expectations and give up the need for their approval.
Let people leave if they have to. Forgive even if you do not receive apologies. Focus more on yourself. Your life starts with you. Fix yourself if there is something broken in there. Pull your atoms back if they're moving away. Don't let anyone dim your light. Shine even if you're running out of light.
With toxic people you have two choices ; 1) engage them or 2) ignore them.
If you let people stop you from doing what you love, it only hurts you. No one can stop you but yourself. Take what criticism they give with a grain of salt, and keep going, keep shining brighter when someone tries to dim your light.
There will always be someone who doesn’t like you or doesn’t like what you are doing. Do it anyways. The only way you will get better at what you do is to keep doing it, not by quitting.
Focus on your path, not them. Encourage yourself, seek beauty to replenish your soul, and focus on your inner divinity. Be grateful for the many gifts you have been given. Haters can’t discourage you if you do this. Focus on doing such great work that you will turn your haters into your fans.! Love light & peace 🕉🌀🌺🍂🌷🍂🌸🌼🍂🌷🌻🌿🌸🍃🌼🌺🍂🌀🕉

Upon reaching Lanka, Hanuman ji saw Maa Sita sitting under a tree in Ashok vatika. She looked frail & tired; he observed that she spent the whole night sitting in meditation of Shri Rama.
At that moment Ravan entered the vatika with many Rakshasis. He threatened Sita & told her that she would be very happy if she would marry him. Hearing this, Sita picked up a blade of grass as a shield & told Ravan that he had no idea about the speed & strength of her Lord’s arrows & that he would meet his end soon because he had got her in Lanka by deceit. Ravan, in his anger, removed his sword & told Sita that she had insulted him & he could even sever her head from her body if she did not listen to him.
Maa Sita replied to him that she preferred to die by his sword than listen to him. She also told him that Shri Rama’s arms were as gentle as a lotus garland but at the same time as strong as an elephant trunk. Ravan moves towards Sita, but is stopped by Mandodari, who tells him it is against the valour of a man to raise his hand on a woman. Ravan then goes home but gives Sita an ultimatum to agree within one month or he will kill her.
Later Hanuman joins his hands & aak Ravan to leave Sita Mata as he came from a very pious family. Shri Rama would forgive him as he is an ocean of pity & never refuses his devotees or those who take refuge in him. He also tells him that Shiva, shri Vishnu & Brahma will not help him if he goes against Shri Rama. He asks him to give up his ego & gives him a lot of examples about Bhakti, knowledge & Vairagya to which Ravan replies in a conceited tone.
Hanumanji then tells him that his death was very near under the hands of Shri Rama, Ravana’s anger knows no bounds. He immediately told his soldiers to kill him, but his courtmen then explained to him that it was unjust to kill a messenger & they should punish him in some other way. Ravan then tells them to put his tail on fire & let him go because only then he can tell his Swami Ramji about Lanka.
Hanuman ji’s tail was tied up with cloth dipped in ghee but so much was consumed that all the cloth in Lanka was consumed as Hanuman Ji went on increasing the length of his tail. All the people of Lanka collected to watch the sight. As Hanuman ji’s tail was set alight he took a very small form & started jumping from one palace on to the other, setting Lanka ablaze. People frantically started running from one place to the other & there was a lot of loss & destruction except for Vibhishan’s house which stood quiet & peaceful watching all the other houses go down in flames. Hanuman Ji did not get hurt by the fire because he was a messenger of Shri Rama. Thus after finishing Lanka he plunged into the ocean! 🐒🌈🌀🐵🕉🌈

Shri Krishna Tames The Serpent, Kaliya!!
Once a huge black serpent called Kaliya lived in the river Yamuna. He poisoned the water of the river with his venom. The people of Vrindavan were very scared of the serpent, who was very strong. So Krishna decided to teach him a lesson.
Once Krishna and his friends were playing by the banks of Yamuna with their ball. The ball fell into the river, where the poisonous hundred and ten-headed serpent Kaliya lived. Kaliya was blinded by hatred and his venom had started poisoning the waters of Yamuna. Krishna dove into the waters to retrieve the ball and encountered Kaliya. He ordered Kaliya to stop poisoning the water and live peacefully, Blinded by rage, Kaliya refused.
Krishna fought the serpent quickly climbed on Kaliya's head. To shake him off, Kaliya tried to coil around Krishna and crush him. He even tried to drown him but Krishna assumed the weight of the entire universe and danced on the naga’s head, soon overpowering him. Krishna then started jumping and stamping on Kaliya's head and the serpent started vomiting poison and was subdued. Kaliya begged Krishna for forgiveness and Krishna ordered the serpent to leave the Yamuna. Kaliya bowed his head and quietly left, and the people of Vrindavan rejoiced.
When Krishna danced on the head of snake Kaliya, all the poison was vomited and the serpent was subdued. When God is revered, the world and all its poisonous fumes recede and you are restored to original health. Make the name and form of your chosen Lord dance upon the hood of your heart. Do not get caught. Save yourself only by calling on God, who is free from sense objects. Hold His hand, and He will pull you safe and keep you steady on the hard ground. 🌈🐍🌷👁🔔📿🕉🌀🌸🐚🔆🌈🙏🏻

Guru Purnima (16 July 2019)

Image may contain: 1 person, sky and cloud

Guru Purnima is a day dedicated to teachers. Guru is a teacher, master, a guide, the one who directs the student to the right path. The word Guru is derived from two words, gu and ru. The Sanskrit root gu means darkness or ignorance, and ru denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore, a Guru is one who removes the darkness of our ignorance.
Many Hindus celebrate the day in honor of the great sage Vyasa, who is seen as one of the greatest spiritual masters in ancient Hindu tradition. Originally, the Veda is one. But Vyasa ji divided the original Veda into four, namely Sama, Yajur, Rig, Atharva, and then again they were explained in different branches like the Puranas and Upanishads. Vedic language and the subject matter are very difficult for ordinary men to understand, therefore, Vyasadeva divided them inti Puranas and Upanishads to allow common men to understand them.
According to Kathopanishad ; tad-vigyananartham sa gurum evabhigachchhet, samit-panih shrotriyam brahma-nishtham.
Means, “In order to learn the transcendental science, one must approach the bona fide spiritual master in disciplined succession, who is fixed in the Absolute Truth. Thus, it has been enjoined herewith that in order to receive that transcendental knowledge, one must approach the guru.”
Spiritual ethos means, no matter what you are doing, whether you are a king or a peasant, there is only one ultimate goal for everybody - liberation. One person who is largely responsible for this, who is of paramount significance in shaping the human consciousness is Shiva. In yogic tradition, it is said that Guru Purnima is the day that saw Shiva become the Adi Guru, or the first Guru. He began the transmission of yoga to the Saptarishis on this day. 🌺🌕🌈👁🕉🔔🌿🌻📿🌸🔱💀🍃⌛️💖🌀🔆🐍🐚🌈🌙🌷🎨🌕🙏🏻
