Shri Krishna Tames The Serpent, Kaliya!!
Once a huge black serpent called Kaliya lived in the river Yamuna. He poisoned the water of the river with his venom. The people of Vrindavan were very scared of the serpent, who was very strong. So Krishna decided to teach him a lesson.
Once Krishna and his friends were playing by the banks of Yamuna with their ball. The ball fell into the river, where the poisonous hundred and ten-headed serpent Kaliya lived. Kaliya was blinded by hatred and his venom had started poisoning the waters of Yamuna. Krishna dove into the waters to retrieve the ball and encountered Kaliya. He ordered Kaliya to stop poisoning the water and live peacefully, Blinded by rage, Kaliya refused.
Krishna fought the serpent quickly climbed on Kaliya's head. To shake him off, Kaliya tried to coil around Krishna and crush him. He even tried to drown him but Krishna assumed the weight of the entire universe and danced on the naga’s head, soon overpowering him. Krishna then started jumping and stamping on Kaliya's head and the serpent started vomiting poison and was subdued. Kaliya begged Krishna for forgiveness and Krishna ordered the serpent to leave the Yamuna. Kaliya bowed his head and quietly left, and the people of Vrindavan rejoiced.
When Krishna danced on the head of snake Kaliya, all the poison was vomited and the serpent was subdued. When God is revered, the world and all its poisonous fumes recede and you are restored to original health. Make the name and form of your chosen Lord dance upon the hood of your heart. Do not get caught. Save yourself only by calling on God, who is free from sense objects. Hold His hand, and He will pull you safe and keep you steady on the hard ground. ✨🌈🐍🌷👁🔔📿🕉🌀🌸🐚🔆🌈🙏🏻
