ANNOUNCE OUR CALL

ANNOUNCE OUR CALL
Shiva
Wielder of it all
The Universe your ball
Shiva, announce our call !
Aum! your conch has spoken
and from a timeless slumber,
a cosmic team has woken
to play your timeless game.
Shiva, wielder of it all,
announce our call.
~ Shail Gulhati: Shiva and Mysticism.

DISSOLUTION

DISSOLUTION
You see,” Parvati explained softly, “human beings love to build things, and because they love to build, they view decay and dissolution as a tragedy. They imagine a perfect universe would be a permanent museum where nothing ever breaks, nothing ever fades, and nothing ever changes. But what would happen if the cosmic housekeeper never allowed anything to dissolve?”
Shiva turned to the seeker , his eyes reflecting the deep brilliance of the afternoon sky. “In our ancient understanding, we do not call this breakdown a flaw. We call it Samhara—the sacred act of cosmic dissolution. It is my role in the cosmic play. People often misunderstand Samhara as destruction, as something evil or angry. But it is not.”
From the book ‘ The Shiva Scientist’ by Shail Gulhati: Shiva and Mysticism.

THE PRESENCE OF SHIVA

THE PRESENCE OF SHIVA
The presence of Shiva
is your life’s peak!
Take any way and reach;
From the Mountains, He does speak:
every creature,
mighty or then, meek
is loved
and welcomed with all the blessing
and cheer
you seek.
Namah Shivaye, Aum Namah Shivaye.

TO MANIFEST GOD

TO MANIFEST GOD
“Place this bilva leaf over the top of the Shivalinga,” said the priest.
Himavat gently placed a leaf over the Shivalinga and Parvati followed suit with Her tender hands.
A bilva leaf slid from the top and came to rest at the centre. It was the one that Parvati had placed. The priest was about to pick it up and put it back when he noticed something amazing:
The leaf had slid and come to such a strategic point, it started looking like the eyes and nose of the Shivalinga. The next words that the priest said, were to be forever etched into Parvati’s soul.
“You have made Shiva come alive!”

SHIVA'S THIRD EYE CREATES THIS UNIVERSE

THE THIRD EYE

Question : Ma, why does Shivji have three eyes?

Answer : Shivji has two eyes just like us with which he sees the sky, the mountains, trees, birds , dogs, cats, and people, the same way we do.He also sees things like buildings, cars, chairs, tables , books and toys with these two eyes.We can see so many things with our two eyes!

But tell me can you see yourself with your two eyes? No you cannot, unless you are in front of a mirror. So, Shivji keeps a third eye in his forehead, with which He can see Himself.

How wonderful to be able to see yourself, isn’t it?

Now, the good thing is that even we all have this third eye, in the middle of our forehead. But we cannot see it, so we do not know how to open it. And Shivji teaches us how to open this wonderful third eye by teaching us to do Dhyana, which is to close the two eyes and start to silently feel the third eye in our Self.

Would you like to open your third eye one day, just like Shivji ?

A SPIRITUAL DEJA VU

A SPIRITUAL DEJA VU
There was gold everywhere. Gold in the mountains, gold in the valley, gold in the sky. It was a golden luminosity basking in its own unending lustre. When Sati opened Her eyes, a golden sun was at Her window. She was in the palace.
She remembered everything that Rishi Vashishta had taught Her. She remembered every detail, till She came to the part when She repeated the mystic mantra ‘SO HUNG’ after him the third time. Sati went into the same trance as She had in the cave.
And then She awoke again to see a gold shimmering dawn.
This happened three times before She knew She had reached Samadhi.
A spiritual déjà vu.
And She saw Her own hair raised in the ultimate arousal- The arousal of one’s own Self.
She remembered the fabulously mystic teaching Vashishta had given Her about the self, the Generatrix:
“The Self is an amazing thing: One disappears as soon as one contacts it; the disappearing is the meeting. ”
“Ah yes, Gurudeva,” She sighed. “I have disappeared even though I am back in the palace…”
The moment She opened Her eyes from the vivid dreamality, She thought of Shiva.
Suddenly, Sati knew the whole purpose of Her life.
The thought of Shiva penetrated Sati like an arrow ,and She actually felt Her heart flutter, like a well-gotten target. She had never seen an image of Him, but suddenly, there He was, right in front of Her,dancing on mountain skylines, long-haired and well muscled; a mesmerising figure that seemed to rivet the earth with the sky.

THE SUPREME YOGI

THE SUPREME YOGI
“Lord, you are the Master of all four yogas, your Bhakti towards Shakti, the Mother; your Jnan of the Self and Cosmos; your Raja meditations of rhythm and steps, and your Vishvkarma of drinking venom”. The snake elaborated his salutation. “You remain devoted to your own principle of Divine creation, to your consort, and consequently, to us all.

You are the supreme knowledge of Self, all our selves, and the whole Cosmic Self.

You remain absorbed in transpersonal meditations for our growth.

If this is not enough, finally, you neutralize the wrongs committed by your children, by yourself drinking the venom spilled by us, this is your inevitable cosmic action.

Therefore, although you contain the whole Universe, although you are the Supreme God, yet, you are a Yogi too, remaining always absorbed in Godhood”

“AUM”.ॐ.

A mixing of the time worlds, in the stillness of now.
This would enable them not only to rejoice in the essential Oneness, but also enable the group to bring forth and introduce characters into the play that were hitherto unknown to the other.

Everything would just become a divine moment, a climax of the life lived. Samadhi.
The magical moment of transcendence was loved by the wise seers. They understood a divine sound, a divine vibration for it, and whispered it almost inaudibly…“AUM”.

The art of the littlest point.

A whole infinity reduced to a dot. And the dot crowned the Aum,
represented by crowning the syllable
.

Aum, was always in the now. Samadhi was a moment of the future mingled with the past. The seers understood that Samadhi was the grace of Shiva, it was the ultimate revelation about the Self.

He knew a perfect stillness.

When He sat alone, He was in deepest oneness, always. When He closed His eyes in self-repose, a most enigmatic dance presented itself to Him; a dance of Time; where the p
ast and the future got animated as players and themselves entertained Him , like performers in a carnival. It had dawned on Him that He was an eternal witness, and thus too, the realisation that the story of all life, was His story.

SHIVA PARVATI VIVAH - THE GREATEST WELCOME TO GOD, ON EARTH!

SHIVA PARVATI VIVAH - THE GREATEST WELCOME TO GOD, ON EARTH!
“The moment that Lord Shiva put a jaimala around Parvati was more than just a marriage; It was a coming together of being and becoming, of transcendence and manifestation, of yin and yang.
It was a fulfillment of creation; the Creator and the created, of love and bonding, of togetherness, of Godhead and Lila...” said Suta with emotion.
“Yes, Gurudeva,” replied Shaunaka.

SARVATRA BHAIRAVA- SHIVA IS EVERYWHERE.

SARVATRA BHAIRAVA
The Ancient Rishis of Kashmir  have a saying, 'Sarvatra Bhairav" . Everywhere, is Shiva. Why do they say so? Because , everything comes from Him, and to Him it will go, this is something most people know or believe. But what we do not fully understand, is that Everything always also 'Stays' in Him . At each moment of our lives , we are actually abiding in Shiva, but we are not aware of this, we do not commonly understand this, in the way that we accept that everything comes from Shiva and will go back to Him.

But the Kashmir Shaiv Darsana : Kashmir Shaivism says, There does come a time in the life of a seeker when there is a Divine arising from within. This spiritual arising from Shiva within, is called Udhyamo Bhairav . When this happens due to years of prayer and meditation, learning and introspection, and , of course, the Anugraha- Grace of Shiva, the yogi becomes enlightened.

But the spiritual journey is not complete with just enlightenment or self realisation, it must culminate in the seeing of Lord Shiva everywhere, Sarvatra Bhairav. This is when the seeker has merged so completely into the sought, that he cannot anymore distinguish anything from His Beloved Shiva, wherever he looks he can " See" Shiva ! North, South, East, West, Here, there, up,  down, everywhere!

AT THE OPTICIAN

AT THE OPTICIAN
During my eye test I suddenly realized what meditation is.
Its a lens that removes the focal error of duality.
You see clearly that all is One.

WHEN GOD GIVES YOU...

WHEN GOD GIVES YOU...
When God gives you
Money, Knowledge and Health
learn in turn, to give, like Him , learn to uplift.
Lakshmi and Kuber marvel
such the amazing ways of Shiva Parvati :
Abundance actually multiplies when you share,
spirituality grows when you dare.

What Har Har Mahdev actually means.

HAR HAR MAHADEVA

The call to Shiva, 'Har Har Mahadeva!" has been popularised to mean ‘ Each is Mahadeva' .This is alright, because essentially we are all made of Shiva Tattva- God stuff .
But actually, handed down from the time of the ancient Rishis, it is a short prayer to Shiva , which means “ O Mahadeva, take away my weaknesses”

While Vishnu is called Hari, lord Shiva is known as Hara. Hara means ‘ to take away’ , and Shiva is the God who helps you on your journey of Self-realisation by taking away junk messages, much like a computer vendor cleans up your hard drive and creates more space for you to grow.

And this is how, the plea to Mahadeva is not just about being victorious on a battleground , but far more importantly about resolving the conflict and confusion within, and growing spiritually..

With that we pray to Shiva the Adi Guru,

GURUDEVA

Sadguru deva namaya !

now that I meet the truth,

He will give himself, I thought,

but, he simply took.

All that darkness gone,

with just one look,

what remained as resplendence, was I !

Sadguru deva namaya !

Welcome to your self  ,he said,

you looked for God,

He gave you me,

mystic is the circle of return,

I give you He!

We are all,

reflections

of we,

lighten up, and see!

Aum Namah Shivaye.  Har Har Mahadeva.

SHIVA BARAAT

SHIVA BARAAT
It presented a truly unique sight, this party of Shiva - a happy blend of the most strange and varied revellers. The ganas and forest men and yoginis, precariously old aged people and naughty young pranksters, all moved together. The appearance was straight out of a merry circus.
Some had four legs, others none at all; walking on their hands upside down, winking intermittently at everyone. Some had hair like the leaves of a tree, others looked as though they were trees, with human feet. Some were more than hundred feet in height; others were small enough to be carried in the palms of their larger friends.
Some were dressed in the finest velvets; others wore bushes as their attire, yet others wore nothing at all, except loincloths. Some were playing flutes and gentle music; others were shouting with hoarse voices and pulling out the flutes from the players’ hands.

THE POT OF TRANSFORMATION

THE POT OF TRANSFORMATION
The look that can change your very Being.
Lord Shiva has a million attributes. But love and kindness are the foremost of them.He is the ultimate Alchemist, evolving the coarse metal of our worldly skin into the deeper Gold of Spirituality and mysticism. And this, He does with the ingredient of Love. One experience, One feel, of what love and kindness really means, and we find ourselves in a pot of transformation! And the realisation that the whole world is Shiva’s pot right from the beginning.

TEACH ME, LORD

TEACH ME, LORD
“So, what work do you actually do?” Sati asked coyly like any newly married wife.
“I meditate,” Shiva answered.
“So then, teach me about meditation,” She said.
