THE LORD OF ALL YOGAS

THE LORD OF ALL YOGAS
“Lord, you are the Master of all four Yogas, your Bhakti towards Shakti, the Mother; Your Gyan of the Self and Cosmos; Your Raja meditations of rhythm and steps, and your Vishvakarma of drinking venom”. The snake elaborated his salutation, "You remain devoted to your own principle of Divine creation, to your consort, and consequently, to us all.
You are the supreme knowledge of Self, all our selves, and the whole Cosmic Self.
You remain absorbed in transpersonal meditations for our growth.
If this is not enough, finally, you neutralize the wrongs committed by your children, by yourself drinking the venom spilled by us, this is your inevitable cosmic action.
Therefore, although you contain the whole Universe, although you are the Supreme God, yet, you are a Yogi too, remaining always absorbed in Godhood”
“I will tell you another”, said the Yogi, pleased with the snake’s understanding. “When you draw a map through Shruti, it is single dimension. When you add Smriti, it acquires another dimension. Then, you add depth, through Yukti, is becomes three dimensional, almost real. When there is Anubhava (experience), that is, when you witness the map, it is now four dimensional, you, are the fourth dimension. You are not just witnessing the map, you are part of it now”.
“In how many ways can He make me witness Himself”, wondered the snake.

FLICKERING FLAME

FLICKERING FLAME
In the middle of your eyebrows
sometimes comes a flame
flickering mystically, softly tugging at your inward gaze.
Behold, it is He, the master of the cosmic game:
At your forehead is seated,
the One, on who's head sits the moon!
And the realisation of Mahadeva makes you swoon:
Now what is pleasure, what is pain
what the loss and what of gain?
All just the magic of Shiva - Bhrumadhya, in the middle of your eyebrows ,
The old world is left behind, far behind
as you embark the greatest flight to the timeless Divine.
Earth to sky , Namah Shivaye
Aum Namah Shivaye.

MY ROAD

MY ROAD
My road ends at you, to whom there is no end.

SUDH MAHADEV

 SUDH MAHADEV

“In the pious land of Jammu, a few forests away, is a temple of Shiva, called ‘Sudh Mahadeva’,” said Suta.
“Ah, Gurudeva, who was the demon in that area? And what was his story and redressal?”
“Hmm…” smiled Suta. “The temple is particularly famous for Shiva’s Trisula, which is still grounded where He flung it at the demon, Sudheet. Actually, in poor Sudheet’s case there was no demonic action, but only a soul redressal nevertheless…”
“That’s amazing. No sin, but a soul redressal? How did that happen Gurudeva?”

SHIVA VIVAH

SHIVA VIVAH

The Shiva Vivah is not just about the marriage of Shiva and Parvati:
It is the greatest cosmic event when Shiva has to be united with His Shakti. And there are Bhaktas, Ganas, Yogis, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Devatas, even Gods and Rakshasas who have waited for this over lifetimes.
For the creator to be united with His own power in a manifest form, within the world that He created with the same power in a transcendent realm, is something so dynamic that it qualifies as the greatest celestial event.
The Ganas know Shiva and Parvati's marriage to be the time that signals a new phase in the Universe:
The coming of Parvati as their Queen marks the establishing of Sivaloka- A veritable Heaven on earth- The cherished community habitation , where you can actually live as Shiva's tribe, because like any home, it takes a mother to run a perfect household alongside the Paterfamilias.
Aum Namah Shivaye.

AUM

AUM
When the Rishis prayed for the Darshana of Shiva, they went into deep states of meditation, and they perceived a mixing of the time worlds, in the stillness of now.
This would enable them not only to rejoice in the essential Oneness, but also enable the group to bring forth and introduce characters into the play that were hitherto unknown to the other.
Everything would just become a divine moment, a climax of the life lived. Samadhi.
The magical moment of transcendence was loved by the wise seers. They understood a divine sound, a divine vibration for it, and whispered it almost inaudibly…“AUM”.
The art of the littlest point.
A whole infinity reduced to a dot. And the dot crowned the Aum, represented by crowning the syllable ॐ.

Why Panguni Uthiram is Celebrated?

Panguni Uthiram is an auspicious day celebrated by the Shiva and Murugan devotees.
As the ‘Panguni’ natchathiram coincides with a full moon, this day has witnessed many divine marriages such as the Thirukalyanam of Shiva-Parvati, Rama-Sita, Lord Murugan and many others.
Temples usually prepare for a grand celebration of celestial weddings on this day.

THE DESTROYER

THE DESTROYER
“Now, tell me”, said the Yogi, “how am I supposed to destroy the world?”
By opening your third eye, wherever you shift your gaze then, turns to ashes.” Answered the snake
“Mythologically” , said the Yogi. “ Now, listen to the philosophy. At the personal level, the destruction of illusions, makes the meditator enlightened. This is the opening of Gyan chakshu, this is the whole path of the yogis! The gaze of the discriminating mind destroys wrong previous concepts and illusions. Whatever scriptures such a man reads, he interprets rightly, whatever situation he encounters, he understands. The mind of spiritual discrimination destroys falsehood and delusion.
At the transpersonal or cosmic level, I am a paradox however. My capability is to destroy the whole cosmic play. But, if I use only half my power, to destroy the destructive processes themselves, verily, I become the course for expansion. So using half your power doubles your strength. It also takes double your strength to use half your power. Meditate upon this!”, said the Yogi.

SHALL WE GO HOME?

SHALL WE GO HOME?
“Shall we go home now, my Lord?”
“Yes, I think we have had a wonderful week in your father’s hospitality, and it is time we went back to Kailash.”
Himavat, who had also walked into the cave to wish Shiva and Parvati a happy day, remarked, “We would love it if you would stay here for longer, but as you wish, my Lord.”
“Thank you, noble King,” said Shiva, and then turning to Nandi, He just took his name. “Nandi…”
He then gently put one arm around Parvati, and lifted Her easily off the ground. He seated Her on Nandi, and then looking at the wedding party one last time, sat on Nandi Himself.
Nandi let out a bellow that startled everyone with its tenor. It was like the call of a truly happy celestial elephant. He got up steadily to his full height, careful that Parvati would not feel a jerk, and hoisted his riders to a majestic position of an exalted throne.
The royal drummers of Himavat’s court, who had also congregated by now, started beating their drums, breaking out into a lilting rhythm. The Shiva ganas promptly drew out their damarus and started playing them with equal vigour. The confluence of the palace music and that of the mountain men was, indeed, fabulous - a divine jugalbandi.
And thus began Parvati’s journey to Her abode in Kailash, amidst drums and trumpets, roars and fanfare. Kailash, where She hoped to live happily ever after with Her Lord, Shiva, who was also the beloved Lord of the world.
