The past few years have seen books, tv serials, discussions, even scientific interpolations about Shiva's presence. And so it would seem that this is ' The time of Shiva '.
But the reality is that time has always been Shiva's.
It is only that in these past few years some have become aware of this.
Some have become aware that Shiva is aware of them.
Some have decided Shiva is the only journey, the only destination worth taking in life.
Just like time belongs to Shiva Mahakaal, every day is His, and yet Shivratri is a day when a great portal opens, like the gate of a temple opens at a particular time. This is because, like everyone, Shiva Himself honours the tradition of Shivratri, and meditates. If we too tune in today, the awareness becomes sharper.
