Wonder Of Being Alive

Wonder Of Being Alive

Life and the soul are always beckoning us, wanting to share the real wonder of being alive. When we really listen, our outer and inner life can speak to us, and take us on a journey far beyond the limited world of the ego. We can begin to discover the divine mysteries of love within our hearts and in the world around us.
The mysteries of love are feminine in their nature, just as the nature of the soul is feminine as it looks towards God, always attentive and receptive. We need to reclaim these feminine qualities that have been so devalued... and recognise their essential value, and bring them back into the our lives.

Om Namah Shivay.

DIVINE ENERGY DEEP WITHIN YOUR HEART

DIVINE ENERGY DEEP WITHIN YOUR HEART :

There’s an energy of the Divine deep in your heart. You don’t need to look anywhere else. What It can subtly bestow is limitless; It will help you to live within the world’s limits. It will save you from the whirlpool of time.

What we need more than anything else is to find a community, safeguarded from egoism, free of the coercions of dogma, but guided by real knowledge. By real knowledge, I mean something quite important and specific –it is something that develops one’s capacities of attention, intention, conscious will, and communion with higher dimensions. Human beings can attain an awareness of the true dimensions of divine compassion, generosity, and beauty, and for this we are created.

Om Namah Shivay.

What is it to be truly human?

What is it to be truly human?

Just to hold this question is the beginning of transformation. When I first began to ask this question, I assembled a list of attributes that seemed essential: a certain capacity for attention and conscious choice, rather than the random distraction and following the path of least resistance, a capacity for unconditional love and compassion rather than being a slave to opinion and negativity; a state of hopeful contentment rather than dissatisfaction and endless desires of the self. We can benefit from the guidance of certain people who have attained the radiance of being human.

Om Namah Shivay.

KUNDALINI SHAKTI

KUNDALINI SHAKTI :

“Raising your kundalini is not spirituality; spirituality is when a homemaker, with a fixed budget, is able to teach her children to walk the right path with good values,”

So, is there such a thing as kundalini awakening?

“If you don’t have the right person helping you to raise your kundalini, then it can be dangerous. It’s very powerful; it’s the source of all creation, which is why, we call it shakti. A person is awake and when he dies, the kundalini shakti leaves the body. When your kundalini awakens, you become one with the cosmos. The whole concept of Om Tat Sat is the first step to awaken your kundalini. It brings you to a state of enlightenment, but not to a state of self-realisation."

“Today, sages have siddhis or powers and they are enlightened, but sometimes, at the drop of a hat, they lose their cool. Realised people are always firmly in control of their emotions. Enlightenment means having all the information, for instance, about swimming, but realisation is actually swimming in the water,".

VINAYAKI OR GANESHVARI

VINAYAKI OR GANESHVARI :

Matsya Purana and Vishnu-dharmottara Purana list even Ganapati’s shakti in the list of female warrior goddesses. Her name was Vinayaki, also known as Ganeshvari. This form of Ganapati is adored in the Vana-Durga-Upanishad.

Images of the female Ganesha start appearing from 16th century onwards. Some are of the opinion that these images, perhaps, represent Malini, the elephant-headed companion of Parvati, nursemaid to Ganesha, occasionally referred to in the Puranas.

The idea of a female elephant-headed deity, whether it is the shakti of Ganesha or the handmaid of Parvati, is an integral part of tantric practices that preferred to see the divine in female, rather than the more dominant male form. This could be because in occult sciences, the female form is seen as the source of all generative powers. While the spark of life came from the male body, life finally was created and nourished by the female body. Or the reason could be more metaphysical. The female form was a code for material resources.

Sages in India have always had this debate between what matters more: the world of thoughts or mental potential or the world of things or material resources. Those who veered towards intangible thoughts eventually came to be associated with Vedic practices while those who veered towards tangible things eventually came to be associated with tantric practices. The former coded their ideas through male forms while the latter coded their ideas through female forms. And so Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, gained popularity in Vedic circles; his female form, Vinayaki, became popular in tantric circles.

Were there stories associated with Vinayaki? We will never know as most of these ideas were oral. What we do know is that the fourth day after the new moon is called Vinayaki Chaturthi. This day is sacred to Ganesha and is named after his female form.

Om Namah Shivay.
