Caitanyamātmā

Caitanyamātmā||1||
चैतन्यमात्मा॥1॥
Great luminousity (light)
which has a perfect awareness
of itself,
is blissful , sovereign,
and
is the self of all.
Siva Sutras, Sambhavopaya, Sutra 1.
Shail Gulhati Adds:
Shivji! The most beloved God, possible to see even in a Shivlinga, if you have Faith in your heart, therefore you can see Him everywhere, you dont have to wait for a temple visit, He may be under a tree,in the forest, in the city, near a beach, on a mountain,or then in the valley by a stream! He is abundant, or truly Omnipresent!
We love His stories. And there are so many from the Shiv Purana, so many from Folklore and songs, from the Northern moutains to the delightful South even near the Sea.
And yet , not much is known about his spiritual messages, like the Bhagvad Gita is , for Krishan ji.
But our ancient Rishis have made at least six major schools of learning about Lord Shiva's spiritual teachings.
Of these , a very honoured one is the Advait shaiv, or Kashmir Shaiv Darsana , now known as Kashmir Shaivism.
The Siva sutras form a very important Primer of this darsana ,when a bhakt wants to color Himself in the essence of His Lord!
The Highest known Upaya ( method) to man is the Sambhav Upaya. and this is the very first verse of that Upaya.
