SHIVA'S DAY

SHIVA'S DAY
People often ask
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why do cunning people thrive?
Why doesn't God intervene?
Why doesn't He eradicate evil?
Why is the effect of Karma in a different life time?
Why doesn't God appear and end the injustice?
And to my mind the answer is, it is because God gives us a free will to choose our own actions. This lasts for a very long time... through ages and ages, in which we may have lived ten or a hundred lifetimes.
In fact, i met a very deep Shaivite Sadhu once, in a Shiva cave and he told me that the Shaivites attribute the 108 beads of the mala ( Rosary ) to the significant understanding that the Universe goes through 108 life cycles before Shiva visits. That's 108 times that Rama and Krishna, Brahma, and 108 times even Devi Parvati visits this earth before He comes.
And when He returns, the big cycle has been completed, and things are back to the Head- the 109th bead on the mala, which has a crown of red thread to make us remember it is both the beginning of a cycle , and also marks the end:
When we reach it once more, the mala is over and we are face to face with the Great Lord, the Head, the Origin.
The wise in all parts of the world have always known this through all timelines, that we finally have to meet our Source.
And then, it is Shiva's day, His entry into the Divine play, makes way for all our questions to get answered.
Aum Namah Shivaye.
