VITARKA ATMA JNANAM

VITARKA ATMA JNANAM
वितर्क आत्मज्ञानम्
In this beautiful pic we see Devi Parvati in unwavering consciousness of Shiva.
The Supreme Lord (Paramesvara) is all knowing, all doing and all pervading. So, the yogi who is meditating on Shiva also should think "My self is one with the Lord " By attentive meditation on this, one becomes one with Shiva, thus said the great Swami Lakshman Joo.
Tarka in the system of Kashmir Shaivism, is to discuss or analyze, to reason or rationalize.
Sat tarka is to dwell on pristine consciousness, to remain absorbed on Sat, reality, which is non dual.
Vitarka, is intensive awareness returning you to the realization, that because all really is formed of the one consciousness,
And which is the same as my self, therefore the continual affirmation that all is Siva, all is my own self.
Therefore, this sutra is an advanced stage, and is about the yogi who has realised that the universe is only a form of Siva.
