If there is a Sun that powers us,

who powers Him?

If there be a power that powers all the suns in the galaxy

who would that be?

If there is a Universal source of all light and life

it is He.

Shiva Nataraja, tapping gently down our street

with Oh those magnificent dancing feet.

One on the ground and one raised

one to rule and the other to elevate.

One to stay distanced' the other to touch base.

Who can know you Mahadev?

But She, for who you dance,

we shall further pray to Her,

and make you appear.

THE QUEEN OF TIME

She was beauty incarnate

Maya, of the highest bind

and He

just an ascetic, of the simplest kind.

They met,

they had too, as all mayic stories unfold

and speak of a magic hitherto untold

He was suitably stunned , struck at first sight, benumbed.

And regaining consciousness , began to beat His drum,

singing, 'Hail the Queen of time, the eternal Sorceress Divine, you need to be mine '

She blushed, how could He do this ? Unravel Her plots every time!

and He sang more ' because i am forever thine'

He is the Rider

of a timeless time.

the knower He is ,

of the uknown sign

The dancer of the Universe

at the start of it all

He is the poet and writer of the whole

His single poem is the making of the world.

He is the keeper of our breath

in this whirlwind space we call life.

He is Shiva the lord, Mahadev.

the ONE we love

The great God, Shiv,

"What is below?: He says, "What indeed Above?"

"You are all my own" , whispers softly

the down to earth ruler of the sky

The earth the sea and the sky

Was a mix

He used

put it in the Flame of desire

and blew.

Here you are,

and yet you gaze eternally

and ask

what

am i

There are many ways

and He can teach

you all, how to reach.

He promised Her, one by one

He will be with each.

But

He leaves also time and space

for you, to create

your own way,

keep walking!

Till you see the crossroad,

sit a while with yourself

this is where you meet.

PLAY ALONGSIDE

He can catch even your thought,

make you come alive from a stone

He can write and rewrite

your script,

so that you know the worldly delight

and yet embark on a spiritual flight.

You are not just a number, a game,

as the simulation scientists claim

not a toy in the hand of a child,

you are the loved child yourself , to play alongside.

God smiles, and now it is time to connect with your own Divinity, you were born free.

 

God gave life for free

yet mankind extracted a huge fee, to let one live,

to let one be.

It's an endless debate, this talk of civilisation, order and technology,

just take a look at those you call jungle folk , and see,

Take a look at the birds springing in the sky,

and know that you breathe, but have lost the space to fly.

Running morning, running night,

running nine to five,

all in the name of life and identity.

Ah! but one look at the thousand windows in your society,

and you are lost again in the maze of globality.

But it's not your fault ,

" You were never shown the alternate reality," He smiles,

and now it is time to connect with your own Divinity,

you were born free, born free.
