Legend reveals that Sita is rebirth of Vedavati and she is Daughter of Ravana and his wife Mandodari. Vedavati was a pious woman who wanted to marry Lord Vishnu.

Sage Valmiki described Maa Sita’s extraordinary birth in the Ramayana. Maa Sita was discovered in a groove of ploughed field by King Janaka. So Sita – Daughter of Bhumidevi, who got adopted by Janaka and Sunaya. When King Janaka was ploughing a field to perform Yagna, Sita appeared splitting the earth. The king found her as a baby girl in a golden basket. He saw her body all covered with dirt and was amazed. Having no children of his own, he put her affectionately on his lap. Overwhelmed with love for her, King declared her as his own child. Raja Janak was the king of Mithilaa. His wife Rani Sunaya brought up Sita as her own daughter.

Another interesting story is mentioned in some Hindu scriptures. Legend reveals that Sita is rebirth of Vedavati and she is Daughter of Ravana and his wife Mandodari. Vedavati was a pious woman who wanted to marry Lord Vishnu. To marry him, she gave up worldly life and became a hermit and built an ashram on a riverbank. Once while Vedavati was meditating, Ravana -the demon king, happened to see her. He was infatuated by her beauty and tried to violate her. To escape from Ravana she jumped into a fire created for yajna. Before dying she cursed Ravana that in her next birth she will be responsible for his death. In her next birth, Vedavati was born as Ravana’s daughter. Astrologers predicted that she will become the reason for Ravanas death. To save his life, Ravana threw the little girl child into the sea. The child fell on the lap of sea-goddess Varuni. Goddess Varuni took the girl child to the shores and gave her to earth-goddess Pirthvi. Goddess Prithvi then gave her to King Janaka. As per Ramayana, Sita was found by King Janaka while ploughing a field.

Maa Sita received Motherhood from four great women -

Mandodari – a great queen (Ravanas wife),
Varuni – goddess of sea,
Pirthvi or Bhumidevi – goddess earth,
Rani Sunaya – queen of Mithilaa (King Janaka’s wife).

Maa Sita – A Complete Woman -

Sita is remembered for her virtues and attributes. Her entire life constitutes an example of idealism. Sita is a perfect example of loyalty and morality. Sita is regarded as the role model of wifely love and adherence to duty. Sita is a brave woman of extraordinary brilliance. Sita is a woman of immeasurable patience. Sita is considered as the ideal daughter, ideal wife, and ideal mother, since ages.

Sita returns back to earth -

It was at the time of Ashvamedha Yagya that the brave sons of Rama caught hold of the Ashva (horse). This resulted in the meeting of Lord Rama with his sons. After giving the responsibility of both the sons to their father, Goddess Sita refused to return to Ayodhya. She gave up her mortal body to goddess Earth (Bhoomi) to relieve herself. So at the end of the epic, Sita does not die, but rather re-enters a crevice of Mother Earth.

THAIPUSAM CELEBRATION AT THE THIRUMURUGAN TEMPLE, TAWAU, SABAH TODAY

Thaipusam celebration was held at the Thirumurugan Temple at Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia today.

ANNUAL PRAYERS AND A DELICIOUS LUNCH SERVED AT OM SRI DAS MUKHI KAALI AALAYAM (KOVIL), RAHANG ROAD, SEREMBAN THIS AFTERNOON (2 FEBRUARY 2020)

The OM SRI DAS MUKHI KAALI AALAYAM (Kovil) at Rahang Road, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia held their annual prayers this afternoon (2 February 2020) and our Payyan family members attended and offered their prayers.

A delicious lunch was served to all devotees.

YEARLY GRAND PRAYERS AT KALI KOVIL, BATU 8, JALAN SEREMBAN - KAJANG, MANTIN THIS AFTERNOON (26 JANAUARY 2020)

The Kali Kovil at Batu 8, Jalan Seremban - Kajang, Mantin, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia held their yearly grand temple prayers this afternoon (26 January 2020).

A good turnout of devotees offered their prayers which included our Payyan members.

We have amazing family members, friends, and other loved ones who love us back. Learn to appreciate what a gift that is. We have good health, which is another gift. We have eyes, with which to enjoy the amazing gifts of sunsets and nature and beauty all around us. We have ears, with which to enjoy music–one of the greatest gifts of them all.

Hinduism sees the Divine present in all existence.

Hinduism sees the Divine present in all existence. The deepest single spiritual truth presented through the Vedas is that Brahman pervades the entire universe. This divine reality, or its essential nature, is present in all living beings, eternal, and full of bliss. Brahman is understood as the cause of creation, as well as its preservation, and dissolution and transformation, all done in a constant, repeating cycle.

Within Hinduism there is a broad spectrum of understandings about the nature of Brahman. Some Hindus believe that Brahman is infinite and formless, and can be worshipped as such, or in different forms. Other Hindus believe that the Divine is infinite and has a transcendental form. For example, some Vaishnavas believe that the one supreme form is Krishna, while Shaivites call this form Shiva.

Because Hindus believe that Brahman can take form, they accept that there are a variety of ways in which all human beings can connect with the Divine. This universal Divinity is worshipped in both male and female forms. The female form is known as Devi, which is a manifestation of Shakti. Other forms combine male and female aspects together such as Ganesha or Hanuman ji. Each of these forms has a symbolic meaning.

Hindus pray to different forms of Brahman as manifestations of particular divine qualities or powers. For example:

Shri Ganesha is honored as the remover of obstacles and honored for his great wisdom, and is often invoked before beginning any important task or project;

Maa Saraswati is the Goddess associated with learning and wisdom;

Maa Lakshmi is worshipped as the Goddess of Prosperity. God is believed to have the taken human form of Rama to show people how to live the path of Dharma.

Shri Krishna is said to have come to eradicate evil and protect good.

'Prathishta Dinam' is on 16th January 2020 at our Aroli Temple and Temple Progress Report

There is a good progress in our temple works. 

The 'Prathishta Dinam' is on 16th January, upcoming Thursday. Poojas will start by 7am. Temple's Chief Priest will be coming for the Poojas. 'Ganapathi Homam' followed by 'Usha Pooja', 'Ucha Pooja' and 'Navakam' will be done. Afternoon there will be a birthday feast. There will be Niramala at evening and after that Athazha Pooja will call it a day.

Besides these Poojas, there will be a change of presence of the Diety- 'Guru' from the currently occupied 'Balalayam' building to a newly constructed place by the Chief Priest.

Temple works are going in a good progress. A concrete road has been made till the temple. The road is 48 metre in length and is made using 6 inch GSP and 6 inch concrete. Its been three days since the road works has been done.

For the new gurusthanam, the office building has been partitioned and works have been finished. 

We have informed relatives regarding  the collection of woods for carpentry works for the 'Padipura'. Four rock pillars for the 'Padipura'  have been bought from Palakkad. We have got the required things for the construction of the "Padipura's" roof. We are now collecting the wooden bars for the 'Padipura'.

The Executive committee for the year 2020 has been formed. The present chairman Anil Kumar P will continue as Chairman for this year and Praveen C will also continue as the Secretary. There is a small change in the role of members in executive committee. 

The next work will be of "Padipura's" as suggested by the committee.
