Only Shiva knows Shiva fully.

Only Shiva can teach about Shiva fully.

Knowing this, the great rishis have forever wanted to

be in His company and learn from Him about the Divine self,

they feel there is nothing else to ask from Him,

other than about our own connection with Him.

The Shivganas are the ultimate example of this knowing:

They give up even their homes and live alongside Him in Kailash.

Special Sri Maha Ruthram homam (first time in our Petaling Amman Temple, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia) for Sivan in conjunction with Maha Sivarathiri on Friday 8 March 2024, 5 pm.

 

Everyone is welcome to join the special Sri Maha Ruthram homam (first time in our Petaling Amman Temple) for Lord Sivan in conjunction with Maha Sivarathiri on Friday 8 March 2024, 5 pm.

 The Ruthra Homam and Special Abishegam will conducted by 11 Gurukals and headed by Siva Sri Swaminatha Sivachariar. On Saturday 9 March 2024, 5pm onwards, The Navachandi Homam will be held inconjuction with Mandalabishegam Purthi. 

The final session (kalam) for Chandi Homam will be on Sunday 10 March 2024, from 8am till noon.

This beautiful image reminded me that Shiva is Bhairava,

One who creates, maintains and then destroys.

I take the Damru to be the beat of creation,

the Ajna- third eye, to be the watchful one, so the maintainer,

and finally the Trisula, which can finish everything in one thrust.

THE GREENING OF DIVINITY

We are all born from the one source, God.

But the world play is such that we forget our link with that source. We forget our Divinity. Over time, we feel that our soul has become like a dry, leafless tree...this is called Vilaya, the 'not knowing'

interestingly matching with the western term "veiling" our Divine nature is veiled. It may go on for lifetimes.

Then there is Anugraha, Shiva's look of love, called 'grace' in the western terminology.

That one look of love from Shiva, the great gardner of the Universe, greens us all over again, it waters our parched and thirsty soul, simply because we have been connected to our roots, once again.

The clouds of ignorance begin to flit away, and we begin to see the Unveiling of Godness.

The great sage Abhinavgupta of Kashmir , said this is the play of God with His bhakts, and indeed, the joy of the bhakts with their God. In the end, all is Supreme consciousness, God, Shiva, or whatever name your heart has known Him with , Just as it was in the beginning.
