Sati’s whole life played itself out in Shiva’s mind; The magnitude of the rapture of the love they had shared and the catastrophe of losing Her, hit Him like a thunderbolt.
Even as he helplessly kept hoping this was all a horrible nightmare,his heart-rending sorrow was uninhibitedly visible. Shiva could feel an excruciating pain grip His chest. As if life itself was trying to leave His body. He could feel the tightening grasp on His throat, and was unable to utter even a cry.
Finally,“Sati,” He spoke. “Are these false tidings, mistaken news that these messengers carry? You must return home my dearest....You must not ever leave me. You are my entire life. "
He wept inconsolably and loudly, not hiding His sorrow. “Sateee!! Sateee!!! Come back to me, Sati… We made an eternal promise to be together. Humesha, Sati.
He found the darkness enveloping His soul, turn into an explosion of an indescribable emotion. A great flash of desolation went through His entire being.
The ganas found themselves wailing loudly with their Lord. The mountains of Kailash reverberated in a concert of gloom cleaving at the breast of every creature that lived in them.
Then a strange transformation started to happen: the extreme sorrow gave way to extreme rage, and Narada noticed that Shiva was going into a different mood.
He had darkened, His face resembled the darkest cloud in the sky, and His eyes became bloodshot, His hair started rising in arousal of extreme excitement, like the mixed thrill of a warrior, when He is about to embark into an immediate and deadly battle.

The famous story is that Kali was very angry about the injustice and wrong doings on earth. She wanted to finish the world, and began her Tandava.
All creatures went helter skelter, looking for shelter, as the world began to crack up with earthquakes and demolitions .No one could stop her, she was unstoppable in her rampage.
It was true that evil had exceeded and needed to be stopped, but also true that not all people were evil, not all needed to be taken to task. Shakti can be glorious as Durga, and she can be fear invoking, as Kali, it depends on the Bhava we set for Her. If we trouble Mother Nature too much, she is bound to get into a Kali Mood. So, then Shiva, her husband lay down on her path, knowing that this will stop her, that she wont "over step" him. But she stepped even on Him.
A minute later she realised that this was her dearest beloved, and She calmed down...the wife in her emerged, and she lolled her tongue in a gesture of "sorry"
The Maha Pralaya was thus averted.
This is the katha( story) for which we pray to Ma Kali.

But God and Shakti are multidimensional, so there can be many understandings of the symbolism. The esoteric meaning can also be:
The power of Maya (bhadrakali) is so great that it can make even God Himself forget his own self and slip into an unconscious state.
It is only when the force of His own Maya is lifted that he may slowly rise. This is somewhat on the lines of the Kashmir Shaiv Darsana : Kashmir Shaivism Which states that this forgetfulness and remembrance of His own Nature is the eternal play of God and His own Maya. Because, she, as Shakti, is the equal Half of the Supreme! It is said Shiva without shakti is inert like a shava, till he doesnt recognize that the shakti is His own, that in the highest reality, they are never separate! So also, Shiva is called Shaktimaan, the wielder of His own Maya.

🕉The Lingam of Mahakeshwar is the largest among all other Jyotirlings. Mahakal Jyotirling is placed in the bottom of the temple. In the middle level, Omkareshwar Shivling is present and the top most part of the temple Nagchandraeshwar opening. 118 peaks of this temple have been made in gold because of which the glory of this Jyotirling has increased. The complex of Mahakal is huge. It includes around 40 temples in it. Some of these temples are here since the 10th century. The topmost of the temple is only opened once a year during Nagpanchami. From morning 4 am to evening 6 pm, the Vedic mantras are chanted and Lord Shiva is worshiped with ashes and Various Shingar Aartis are performed like Bhasma Aarti, Bhog Aarti, Maha Bhog Aarti and Sandhya Aarti. Mahakaleshwar is the only Jyotirling that is situated in the south direction.

Well if you believe Mahadev, you should know that nothing in life happens by chance. Everything we do and everything that happens is already planned out, written or foreseen. We will meet people we never expected to meet, only because Mahadev wants us to meet them. On Magh Purnima, I suddenly meet these two holy men at Har Ki Paudi, Haridwar. And I am pretty much sure that Shiva himself sent these two holy men to motivate me to visit Kashi, Varanasi. And here we go..The city which is dear to Mahadev. The city I always wanted to visit but had not planned yet. The city which frees one from all the sins. The city which is Mukti Dham. The city which stands on Shivas Trishul ~ ALL GLORIES to Kashi ~ All Glories to Mahadev 🙏🏻🙏🏻

You can't move forward if you are the slave of worries and thoughts of guilt and regret. "Letting go is freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If in our heart, we still cling to anything ; anger, guilt, or possessions ; we cannot be free.” The regret and guilt beats you up, it makes you replay your mistakes, and it wastes enormous amounts of energy, re-enacting how You could have done something differently. It makes you feel bad even when You don't feel bad! Remember the simple truth that we're all prone to making mistakes and every human being slips up now and then. but don't let that guilt settle on your souls like a heavy brick. You don't deserve to dwell on your own negative thoughts. After all, mistakes happen, it's how we respond to them that really matters. Don't let guilt ridden emotions start to creep in. Life is too short to live with regrets. You really have to make your journey count every single day. Today is that beginning. Today is life. Right now you have a priceless opportunity!

Forget the past. Forgets the mistakes. Accept the truth and practice being grateful for what is. be grateful for the experiences that helped you learn and grow. It’s all about finding the strength to embrace life’s challenges and changes, to trust your intuition, to learn as you go, to realise that every experience has value, and to continue taking positive steps forward.
