Mahadeva is a Sanskrit word where ‘Maha’ roughly translates to supreme or greatest and ‘Deva’ translates to God. Mahadeva is the ‘Destroyer’ in the Trimurti. Even though he is known as the ‘Destroyer’ he is also often said to be the one who creates, protects and transforms the universe. Mahadeva is always carrying a trident in his right hand. This trident is called ‘Trishula’ which means the destroyer of all kinds of suffering. I believe that the suffering of past, present, and future are being signified using this trident. The trident collectively being just one simply tells us that all that really exists is the present moment. So always living in the present moment can protect us from the constant regrets of the past and constant fear of the uncertain future. Living in the present moment needs to be practiced just like any weapon or instrument and if we master this weapon we can destroy a majority, if not all of our sufferings.

Mahadeva is known as ‘Adiyogi’ which translates to the first yogi. The Yogic culture believes Mahadeva to be the originator of Yoga, instead of a God. It is believed in this culture that Mahadeva achieved enlightenment on the top of the Himalayas and he was the first human to achieve enlightenment. Seven people noticed the vibrant energy being radiated by this still and meditative figure. These seven people were later known as ‘The Sapt Rishis’. They learned methods of meditation and methods to achieve enlightenment from Mahadeva. From this, I realised that meditation plays a very important role in one’s life. It helps us to channelize our energy and achieve a state of thoughtlessness which can lead to increased focus and productivity in our day-to-day lives. Relax and breathe. Everything is just the way it should. Trust the divine, Your life is in divine order. When you worry and stress too much, it breaks your connection with God. As a result you are unable to hear the divine guidance and answers to the questions that you may be inquiring about. Take the time to be just be. You don't have to get everything done today. Rest, take naps, do things that you enjoy doing. Self care is much needed. And while you do that, know that all your needs will be taken care of, there is nothing to worry about.! Ganapati is Adideva.

Ganapati is Adideva. Chanting of his name abducts all sufferings and every task is successfully completed. A person who worships him gets freedom of all fears and sufferings of life that is why is lord Ganesha also known as “Ganapati”.

As per the description in the Rigveda,“ ~ Na Kritey Twayam Kriyate Kim Chanare” ~~ no work begins without the blessing of lord Ganesha. He is the Vedic Deva and each chapter of veda begins from his blessings only. He has a special significance in Vedic activities. The ancient scriptures have described worshipping of lord Ganesha by Lord Brahma, Shri Vishnu and Shiva.

Lord Ganesha is known as Vighna-Vinashak and Budhi Datta (giver of intelligence). In Indian Culture, every new work is commenced only after worshipping lord Ganesha.

Lord Ganesha is known with many different names. His different names reflect his forms and have similar impact on the devotees. Some of his names are ; Ekadanta, Sumuka, Lambodar, Vinayaka, Kapil, Gaj Karnak, Vikat, Vighan-nash, Dhumraketu, Ganadhyakshay, Bhalchandra, Gajanana and Ganesha.

Worshipping lord Ganesha is considered to be sacred before commencing any task which is why he is also known as Aadipujya. One gets relief from all kind of troubles and obstacles in life rather attains happy and a prosperous life. Ganesha Chaturthi is celebrated every years in devotion of lord Ganesha. This festivals lasts for 10 days and celebrated as Ganesh Utsava. Wednesday is considered to be the best day to worship lord Ganesha. A person who worships him with full devotion and faith attains all pleasures of life.

Shri Vishnu is the preserver who is responsible for the order and regularity of the worlds and the duties that ensure the orderly progression of the worlds and beings, their bondage and liberation.

Shri Vishnu is the preserver who is responsible for the order and regularity of the worlds and the duties that ensure the orderly progression of the worlds and beings, their bondage and liberation. In the body and in Nature he repersents the binding, balancing and purifying quality of sattva. In the sky, as the Aditya, he represents the shining and heating power of the sun. His name Vishnu may have been derived from the root words vishir (to pervade), vish (spread or enter), or vishli (surround). According to these interpretations, Vishnu means ;

The all pervading light (visir) in the space,
He who spreads in all directions (visnati),
He who enters (visati) the worlds, our hearts and minds as the light,
He who surrounds (visli) us or the worlds with light,
Vis also means material objects.

Therefore, Vishnu may also means he who removes or burns our attachments to material objects. As the light in the sky, Shri Vishnu overcomes all darkness and prevails upon the worlds. The world is nourished and sustained by his effulgence. Of the four states, Shri Vishnu as the preserver repersents the dream states (svapnavastha). The world in which we live is but the dream of Narayana only.

Shri Vishnu’s seventh incarnation is Rama, “the greatest Kshatriya of all time, a model for all Hindu rulers”. Rama’s life story is described in the famous Hindu epic Ramayana. The purpose of taking the form of Rama was to get rid of Ravana who pridefully was granted excessive power and who kidnapped Rama’s wife Maa Sita. The moral taught by this avatar was to “Outgrow the beast to discover the divine”, once again symbolizing Shri Vishnu’s duty of preserving righteousness and faith in the supreme power.

Shri Vishnu’s eighth incarnation is Krishna. Krishna is well known for his role in the famous epic Mahabharata as well as the conversation between Krishna and Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita where he emphasized the importance of “dharma,” or duty and action, bhakti (devotion), and he shows himself as Vishvarupa (full form of Vishnu) to Arjuna, expressing himself as the supreme and divine power. Shri Vishnu is believed to have taken the form of Krishna, once again like Rama, to preserve righteousness and faith in the supreme power by killing his uncle Kamsa who was filled with excessive pride and power, and through his major role and teachings in the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna’s purpose was to teach the lesson, “Know the thought before the action”. 🌷🌲🌍🌸🌿🔆❤️🐚🕉🌀🌸🐍📿🔔🌿🌀🙏🌷❤️🌀🌲🌍

Shiva's trident is the most powerful weapon of Lord Shiva. Only Lord Shiva and Maa Shakti can hold the trishul. Others can't even touch the Trishul, since none have the strength to bear the Trishul’s immense energy.

Trishul has great significance in Hindu Religion , it's significance is even more when it is held by Lord Shiva. The three prongs of Trishul represents trinity ~ Shri Brahma , Shri Vishnu , and Shri Mahesh. Maa Saraswati , Maa lakshami and Maa kaali. The 3 modes of nature –creation, maintenance and destruction. The 3 kaala ~ past, present and future. The 3 Gunas ~ sat , raj , tamas. The 3 lokas ~ swarg , bhu and patal . The 3 powers ~ will , action and wisdom . The 3 types of miseries ~ physical , mental and spiritual.

Lord Shiva’s Trishul is supposed to destroy the physical world, attachment to gross the illusionary world which seems so real ; the world of the mind ~ the ahamkaar or ego which is a barrier between Me and HIM ; thus transforms to be in the third world that is the world of spirituality –thus leads to oneness Shiva into a single non-dual plane of existence, that is bliss alone.

The 3 prongs in the Trishul indicate Shiva's three eyes, and Shiva as Trikaladarshi ( who knows past, present and future ). Once the Trishul is released from Shiva's hand , it can never be reverted back until the task is fulfilled by the Trishul. Shiva has killed asuras namely Jalandhar and Sankhachooda with his Trishul. Shiva used Trishul to sever the original head of Ganesha also.

According to Shiva Maha Purana, Shiva is Swayambhu, self created. He emerges as a direct incarnation of Sadashiv and has Trishul from the very beginning. According to Shri Vishnu Purana, When Surya dev married Sanjana, daughter of Vishwakarma, his wife soon became unhappy with married life due to the unbearable heat of Surya Dev. She complained to Vishwakarma, who agreed to solve the problem. Her father came to an arrangement whereby Surya agreed to reduce his heat to accommodate Sanjana. The solar matter fell to the earth, reducing his heat. Vishwakarma created the Trishul using the matter from the sun and gave it to Shiva.
