A trip to Nepal is not complete until you get a glimpse of the intriguing men known as Sadhus. The vast majority of Sadhus in India and Nepal are Yogis. Becoming a Sadhu is a difficult lifestyle. Sadhus are considered dead to themselves. They may even be required to attend their own funeral before they are able to seek out a guru and begin the process of transforming into a holy man. They dedicate their lives to achieving moksha, liberation. They do this through meditation and contemplating brahman.
