Rudraksha meaning "tears of Shiva" in Sanskrit, Rudra and Aksha, have been worn by Sages and Yogis since Vedic times for their profound spiritual significance and powerful healing properties. Sacred Rudraksha beads are seeds from the Rudraksha tree and these beads are endowed with cosmic powers to elevate the soul and assist on the path of ascension. the Rudraksha contains the secrets of the entire evolution of the cosmos within it. According to the Vedas, Shiva cried tears of compassion for humanity and his tears became Rudraksha Seeds to assist humanity in our healing.
By meditating with a Rudraksha mala or by wearing rudraksha against the skin, it is believed to increase the ability to concentrate, giving clarity and peace of mind, improve memory and relieve stress and anxiety. Rudraksha is also known to slow the ageing process, increase stamina, reduce blood pressure, strengthen the heart and balances the nervous system. ‪ Not only that but the auspicious Rudraksha beads are believed to bestow divine protection and increase abundance and prosperity. One mukhi rudraksha is ruled by Mahadev Himself. It Enlightens the Super Consciousness, Destroys all sins and leads one to liberation. One mukhi rudraksha is Sakshat Shiva swarupa. The wearer elevates in awareness and merges with the absolute consciousness of the divine. It is only with grace of Lord Shiva and divine karmas that a person gets to wear this rare bead. One who wears it surely goes to path of Moksha. This is the best of all Rudrakshas for meditation & spiritual growth!
The holy scriptures recommend wearing different number of beads on different parts of the body. One bead on the shikha, 16 on each of the upper arms, 12 on each wrist, 6 in each ear, 24 on the forehead, 32 on the throat and 108 around the neck. The scriptures also tell us that the single faced rudraksha bead is specially beneficial for bestowing special fortune when it is worshipped. The 5,6,8 and fourteen faced rudraksha beads are said to bestow wealth. Worshipping rudraksha beads is equivalent to worshipping Lord Shiva himself. Rudraksha is very dear to lord Shiva and hence all the sins of a man get destroyed if he chants the name of Lord Shiva using a Rudraksha beads. He also attain salvation after his death. In Shiv Purana, Rudraksha of specific colours have been prescribed for different castes. Brahmin, a Kshatriya, a Vaishya and a Shudra have been instructed to put on Rudraksha of white colour, red colour, yellow colour and black colour respectively. A person who wears eleven hundred Rudraksha on his body, he unites with Shiva. Rudrakshas are of various types i.e. EKMUKHA RUDRAKSHA to rudraksha with fourteen openings. Each type of rudraksha has specific mantra and specific deity connected with it.
Glory of Rudraksha is mentioned in Shiva Purana. Wearing a Rudraksha during the day destroys all evils done during the darkness of night. Wearing a Rudraksha during night destroys all evils of the morning, afternoon and evening. Tripundadhari, an ascetic, and a person wearing a Rudraksha never goes to hell. "A saint who wears one Rudraksha on the head together with a 'Tripunda' and japs the "Panchakshara Mantra" should be worshipped". "A person who does not have Rudraksha in his organs, does not have a "Tripunda" on his forehead and does not recite the "Panchakshara Mantra" from his mouth should be taken to hell." "A person with Bhasma Tripund and Rudraksha should never be taken to hell, as a compensation of his deeds" ~ The God of Yamas gave this order to his subordinates. #TheShivaTribe .Lord Shiva himself tells Parvati that Rudraksha destroys all evils. Even if an evil person wears a Rudraksha he is purified. He becomes equal to Shiva and becomes dears to him. A person who wears a Rudraksha on hands, arms and forehead becomes inviolable and he roams on this earth as an epithet of Shiva. Saints and Demons worship him. For them he becomes an evil destroyer and equivalent to Shiva. Those who wear Rudraksha without meditation and knowledge are also freed from all evils and attain 'Moksha'. Praying with a Rudraksha Rosary gives multifold benefits. Wearing Rudraksha gives 10 times more benefit to the humans. Shiva himself says that as long as Rudraksha is on the body of any living person, till then he never dies prematurely!! Om Namah Shivaya!!
