To please Shivaji, special worship should be done in the month of Savan. Especially on every Monday of Savan month. Special benefits can be obtained by fasting on this day and meditation of Lord Shiva. Food is eaten at a time by worshiping Lord Shiva in fasting. In the month of Savan, devotees bring holy water from river Ganga or other rivers by traveling miles and perform waterabhishek of Lord Shiva.
Material of worship
1. Raw rice, white sesame, khada moong, barley, satua for Shivamutthi
2. Panchamrut: Milk, curd, sugar, rice, Gangajal (Panchamrit is made by mixing all these)
3. A bilw letter containing three parties (leaves)

The full description of Shiva worship method is found in the book related to Lord Shiva in Shiva Purana. The methods of worshiping Shivlinga and Sagun Swaroop of Shivaji are explained in detail in Shiva Purana. Shivling is worshipped in the month of Savan, sex is the basis of creation and Shiva is the god of world welfare.
By bathing in the morning, be sacred by body and mind and go to temple or worship Shiva in the temple at home. Offer Panchamrit water to God Shiva along with Mother Parvati and Nandi after reaching the temple. After offering Panchamrit water, offer all the ingredients one by one on Shivling and keep chanting Shiva Mantra: Om Namah Shivay.
Shivling worship rules
1. Every morning, get up early in the morning, deal with bath etc. and go to the Shivling kept in the temple and do anointment of Lord Shiva with water.
2. It is not appropriate to sit in east direction, north and west direction where Shivlinga is selfish. Desires are fulfilled by worshiping in the south direction of Shivlinga.
3. The devotee should wear the garland of Rudraksh and offer Bilvapatra without being cut.
4. Shivlinga should never do full circulation. It is auspicious to do half circulation.
5. After this, sit in the temple for some time and chant 'Om Namah Shivay' mantra in your mind.
6. Write 'Om Namah Shivay' with sandalwood on 21 Bilvpatras daily and offer it to Shivlinga. All your wishes will be fulfilled with this one remedy.
7. Install Parad Shivling in your house any day in the month of Shravan and worship it as per the method. Chant this mantra 108 times during this time - Ain Hriem Shri Om Namah Shivay: Shri Hree Hree Ain
8. A Bilvapatra containing three parties (leaves) which we offer to Shiva destroys the sins of our three births. Therefore, in the month of Shravan, offering Bilvatra to Lord Bhole is more fruitful.
9. Shivamutthi is offered on Shivlinga on every Monday under the month of Shravan. In which :- •
A handful of raw rice on first Monday
White Tilli is offered on the second Monday •
Third Monday should offer a handful of standing moong •
Fourth Monday of barley is the importance of a handful of barley •
Even if the fifth Monday comes, it is important to offer Satua!
