“Holi”.

Q: Please tell us about “Holi”.

Guruji: The 'Holi' festival is a very fun-filled and popular occasion in India. People play holi with Chandan and colored water. This festival is celebrated around early March each year. People believe that the bright colors represent energy, life and joy. Huge bonfires are also burnt in the evening and people worship the fire.

There is a famous story associated with the festival:
An asura king, Hiranyakashyap, wanted everyone to worship him. But his son Prahalad was a devotee of Lord Narayana, the king's sworn enemy. Angry, the king wanted Holika, his sister to get rid of Prahalad. Empowered to withstand fire;
Holika sat on a burning pyre holding Prahalad on her lap. But it was Holika who was burnt, Prahalad came out unharmed. Hiranyakashyap symbolizes one who is gross. Prahalad embodies innocence, faith and bliss/joy. The spirit cannot be confined to love material only. Hiranyakashyap wanted all the joy to come from the material world. It did not happen that way. The individual jivatma cannot be bound to the material forever. It’s natural to eventually move towards Narayana, one's higher self. Holika stands for the past burdens that try to burn Prahalad's innocence. But Prahlad, so deeply rooted in Narayana Bhakthi could burn all past impressions (sanskaras) and joy springs up with new colors. Life becomes a celebration. Burning the past, you gear up for a new beginning. Your emotions, like fire, burn you. But when there is a fountain of colors, they add charm to your life. In ignorance, emotions are a bother; in knowledge, the same emotions add colors.
Each emotion is associated with a color - Anger with red, jealousy with green, vibrancy and happiness with yellow, love with pink, vastness with blue, peace with white, sacrifice with saffron and knowledge with violet.

१५. नदी के किनारे वाले वृक्ष, दुसरे व्यक्ति के घर मे जाने अथवा रहने वाली स्त्री एवं बिना मंत्रियों का राजा - ये सब निश्चय ही शीघ्र नस्ट हो जाते हैं।

१७. वेश्या को निर्धन व्यक्ति को त्याग देना चाहिए, प्रजा को पराजित राजा को त्याग देना चाहिए, पक्षियों को फलरहित वृक्ष त्याग देना चाहिए एवं अतिथियों को भोजन करने के पश्चात् मेजबान के घर से निकल देना चाहिए।

१८. ब्राह्मण दक्षिणा मिलने के पश्चात् आपने यजमानो को छोड़ देते है, विद्वान विद्या प्राप्ति के बाद गुरु को छोड़ जाते हैं और पशु जले हुए वन को त्याग देते हैं।

Business opportunities: If you think of a niche you want to go in, ask yourself: "in the future, do you think we will have that?" and if the answer is yes, how can you make that happen sooner? If it doesn't work with your phone, forget the idea. And any idea designed for success in the 20th century is doomed in to failure in the 21st century.

Work: 70-80% of jobs will disappear in the next 20 years. There will be a lot of new jobs, but it is not clear if there will be enough new jobs in such a small time.

Agriculture: There will be a 100$ agricultural robot in the future. Farmers in 3rd world countries can then become managers of their field instead of working all days on their fields. Aeroponics will need much less water. The first petri dish produced veal is now available and will be cheaper than cow produced veal in 2018. Right now, 30% of all agricultural surfaces is used for cows. Imagine if we don't need that space any more. There are several start ups who will bring insect protein to the market shortly. It contains more protein than meat. It will be labelled as "alternative protein source" (because most people still reject the idea of eating insects).

There is an app called "moodies" which can already tell in which mood you are. Until 2020 there will be apps that can tell by your facial expressions if you are lying. Imagine a political debate where it's being displayed when they are telling the truth and when not.

Bitcoin will become mainstream this year and might even become the default reserve currency.

Longevity: Right now, the average life span increases by 3 months per year. Four years ago, the life span used to be 79 years, now it's 80 years. The increase itself is increasing and by 2036, there will be more that one year increase per year. So we all might live for a long long time, probably way more than 100.

Education: The cheapest smartphones are already at 10$ in Africa and Asia. Until 2020, 70% of all humans will own a smartphone. That means, everyone has the same access to world class education. Every child can use Khan academy for everything a child learns at school in First World countries. We have already released our software in Indonesia and will release it in Arabic, Suaheli and Chinese this Summer, because I see an enormous potential. We will give the English app for free, so that children in Africa can become fluent in English within half a year.

The Path of Sanyasa is the path of freedom from "I" with all its limitations in cultures and even in time and space.

The Path of Sanyasa is the path of freedom from "I" with all its limitations in cultures and even in time and space. Renunciation starts with emotional purification; with discipline of the mind. Renunciation is the final forgetting of "I" and "mine". It is that mode of thought and experience in which the entire creation becomes as oneself. One who has taken vows of renunciation, and thereby become a swami, considers himself a member of every family on earth, with their physical and spiritual welfare as his prime concern. He is as concerned for them as the novices in the practice of love, leading a limited worldly life, are concerned with their own families.‪ A renunciate claims an intimate relationship with all, attached to none. "Attached to none" means that he claims nothing from them, desires and seeks nothing from anyone, needs no emotional support from anyone but gives the support and encouragement to all. Like the rising sun, wearing orange/saffron robes, he must dispense light to every nook and cranny of the world. Wherever the evening catches him is his home whether under someone's roof or under God's own sky. Free and ever moving like the breeze he gives life-breath to all. Ever-flowing like a river, he quenches, cleanses and irrigates all. Like a fire he purifies all. Like a light he illuminates all. Like the sky, he remains untouched, clear, calm, giving his space to everyone; he invites every being to find rest, solace, succour and consolation within his field of being that emanates from him! And you will learn from them and use these lessons to improve your life. Let time heal everything. Healing is the ability to let go, grow and expand. It's the power of balancing ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually so that we can live the life we want while in its most authentic form. Know that We are here to heal ourselves and to learn along the way as we are supposed to. It is impossible to grow if we don't take that leap of faith and trust that everything works out the way it is meant too. The results may not be what you wanted, but they are what was necessary for you to expand. Would you rather suffer for a long time staying in the past? Go beyond your comfort zone creating a path to a healthier happier you. All of this is a part of your healing process in life. O Adored of the Devas! all the Devas and Devis , the whole universe, from Brahma to a blade of grass, are His forms .
If He be pleased, the Universe is pleased. If aught be done to gratify Him, then the gratification of All is caused.
As the pouring of water at the root of a tree satisfies the wants of the leaves and branches, so by worshipping Him all the Deathless Ones are satisfied.
Just as, O Virtuous One! all the beautiful Ones are pleased when Thou art worshipped and when men meditate on and make Japa and pray to Thee.
As all rivers must go to the ocean, so, O Parvati! all acts of worship must reach Him as the ultimate goal.
Whoever be the worshipper, and whoever be the Devata, he reverentially worships for some desired end, all that is given to him through the Deva he so worships comes from Him as the Supreme.
Oh, what use is it to say more before Thee, O My Beloved?
There is none other but Him to meditate upon, to pray to, to worship for the attainment of liberation. Need there is none to trouble, to fast, to torture one’s body, to follow rules and customs, to make large offerings; need there is none to be heedful as to time nor as to Nyasa or Mudra, wherefore, O Kuleshani! who will strive to seek shelter elsewhere than with Him ~ (MAHANIRVANA TANTRA )
