Remember to shine in the crisis. We are born problem solvers. As humans our creative capability is endless. There is usually not just one solution to any problem but many. So calm and center yourself. Find your happy place and bring awareness into your body. Don't allow outside circumstances to shake you. Know that problems exist only in the mind. The third facet of Goddess Durga is ‘Chandraghanta’, who is worshiped on the third day of Navaratri, for peace, tranquility and prosperity in life. She has a ‘chandra’ or half moon in her forehead in the shape of a ‘ghanta’ or bell. That is why she is called ‘Chandraghanta’. She is charming, has a golden bright complexion and rides a lion. She has ten hands, three eyes and holds weapons in her hands. She is the apostle of bravery and possesses great strength to fight in the battle against demons.

THEN TIE HIM IN THE KNOT OF LOVE

THEN TIE HIM IN THE KNOT OF LOVE
Then tie Him in the knot of love
this god who remains forever
aloof
never here , nor there, nor below nor above.
Tie Him in the knot of love
so he shall know
the beating of the heart of life
This mad rush of joy, he himself made
in the timeless day
and then
absented from the play.
Just tie him in the knot of love!
to 'Her', all the Devatas pray.

SHAKTI- GOD, AS MOTHER!

SHAKTI- GOD, AS MOTHER!
Interacting with mystics from all over the world, drawing freely from Mankind's treasure trove of spirituality,i have been observing with happiness the re-emergence in some form or the other, of Shakti worship .
And it is Universal , Whether it is the ever growing numbers of yatris visting Ma Vaishno devi In my own hometown Jammu,or the establishing of Sri vidya centres down in Bangalore, where one can have puja's and homa's offered to the Devi in the same format as the ancient ways. Whether it is Dan brown's extraordinary book ,The Da vinci Code, that sold millions of copies talking to people about Mary magdalene as a great force behind Jesus,
or, even the comeback of witches in millions in the UK and USA , where once they were stoned and burned at mere accusation: and now, with even The Oxford University actually offering a course in witchcraft!
All this is only a re -assertion of Mankind's oldest form of worship to God as mother.
For what really is mother worship? The mother is one who gives us life by deliverance, and then stands by our sides to grow us up every moment, from feeding and nurturing, educating and teaching us how to go about in this world, and this is true not only of all cultures of the human race, but also of birds and animals….so too, the wise people of old times noted that there must be a cosmic mother,One , who delivers the whole universe from its womb.
And in this concept, she goes by different names in different cultures , but is almost always present in the older civilizations and native tribes of the old world .
In India, where we have always been especially privileged when it comes to spiritual inheritance, being comfortable with Shakti, the feminine aspect of God,comes naturally to us.
Notably in Hinduism , it in fact, is among the most outstanding features - no God is really complete without his consort,
and we even take their names in pairs, sita ram, radhe shyam, brahma saraswati, and of course, shiva parvati.
And the consorts are not different from the gods, they are like the qualities of the God himself, like fire and heat, sun and radiance, etc.
So too, it is said that Shiva is pure being,
and Shakti is all becoming.
God is the transcendental pureness, but He projects forth a manifest world , which is called simply , Mother Nature .Without shakti (His power to create), Shiva, they say, would be shava, inert as the corpse.
Shiva's Shakti is also His power to preserve, and finally to dissolve the world back into Himself.
Thus, mother worship, shakti puja, in simplified terms, is a healthy respect for the created world.
And so, during Navratris we pray to her in all her different forms.
There are The Ten Mahavidyas , known as Wisdom Goddesses. The spectrum of these ten goddesses covers the whole range of feminine divinity, encompassing horrific goddess's at one end, to the beautiful at the other. The Goddesses are:
Kali,Tara,Shodashi,Bhuvaneshvari,Chinnamasta,Bhairavi, Dhumawati,Bagalamukhi,Matangi,and Kamala.
I quote from a legend “ Once during their numerous love games, things got out of hand between Shiva and Parvati. What had started in jest turned into a serious matter with an angry Shiva threatening to leave Parvati. No amount of cajoling by Parvati could reverse matters. Parvati then multiplied herself into ten different forms for each of the ten directions. Thus however hard Shiva might try to escape from his beloved, he would find her guarding all escape routes.
Each of the Devi's manifested forms made Shiva realize essential truths, made him aware of the eternal nature of their mutual love and significantly established in Indian thought the Goddess's superiority over her male counterpart. Not that Shiva in any way felt belittled by this awareness, only spiritually awakened.”
The central aim here is to stretch one's consciousness and go beyond the conventional social norms, roles, and expectations, and foray into the realm of truth for oneself.
And so we learned from the very beginning to honour the Devi in her different aspects , the different aspects of Nature: its beauty and benevolence as shodashi ,bhuvaneshwari and tara and we learnt also of her autumnal aspect ,her old age as dhumavati, as bhairavi, the destroyer, and of course, we respected her even in her terrible aspect! who is not familiar with Mahakali, and so,our ancients matured in shakti puja, leaving behind an immense legacy of spiritual gems- matured to respect God, in motherhood, God as She looks after us all like a loving mother through each pleasure and pain of this worldly sojourn.
Jai Mata Di!

SHIVLINGA-THE GREAT SYMBOL OF SHIV SHAKTI
Sati looked at Him and asked,“Tell me, what is this thing about the Shivlinga being your representation?”
Shiva smiled. “The Shivlinga means many things at many realms, each true for that level of subtlety. It is a symbolic representation of absolute transcendence, Omkaar, the impersonal God leading to esoteric and spiritual understanding.”
“I see.”
Or,in simple words, that God visits His creation.
“Oh,” said Sati.
“It is how the ancient rishis conceived God in His unborn, invisible form as the Shiva Lingam. It is worshipped equally popularly as the Image of my own self, or as me!” said Shiva.“And in abundance, with some variance, across many lands, from a long time .”
“So then, is the Shivlinga a symbol of God’s creativity?” asked Sati.
“Yes,” said Shiva.“The Shivlinga is the symbol of us both in harmony, God and His power to create. It also represents the perfect balance of potential and kinetic, male and female energy, and so, Shiva and Shakti itself.”
He paused, and then added gently, “Us.”
“Tell us more, about us,” laughed Sati.
“Sati, God is formless. How does one express, or paint, or represent the formless?”
“And hence, the shape of the Shivlinga?” Sati prompted.
“Yes! Devoid of any complicated sculpting, it aims to represent God in a simple, straightforward way. The base, which holds the column tightly in its embrace, is you, Sati. You, as Mother Nature, are the one behind all form; and you it is, who can see the formless. You are the one with a name, yet you, Sati, can see the nameless. You it is who can behold Shiva, and through you alone may Shiva be beheld…You, Sati, are maya.”
Sati’s eyes widened with happiness.

Shivalingam contains the divine energy of Lord Shiva and worshipping it can gain the powerful blessings of Lord Shiva for a devotee’s life.

ShivaLingam is the most common earthly form of Lord Shiva which is worshipped worldwide. Shivalingam contains the divine energy of Lord Shiva and worshipping it can gain the powerful blessings of Lord Shiva for a devotee’s life. Shivalingam represents the Brahmand and the infinite divine truth of the universe. Lord Shiva is said to be formless and ever-present at every part of the world; and in our consciences. Thus the Shivalingam is extremely holy. The most famous way of worshipping the Shivalingam is Abhisekham or the pouring of milk, water, curd, honey and bilva leaves, while chanting the famous mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya'. There are some interesting reasons why milk is poured over the Shivalingam during his worship. Milk and water have a cooling effect on Lord Shiva, who if angry has the ability to open his third eye and destroy the entire universe. Milk and water appeases the Lord and pacifies his rage. The offering of milk along with other commodities is considered an act of purity. It is an act of penance that harnesses positive karma and leads the devotee’s souls towards salvation. Milk is for blessing of purity and piousness. Yogurt is for prosperity and progeny. Honey is for sweet speech. Ghee is for victory. Sugar is for happiness. Water is for purity. One should not forget to offer Bilva leaves too!!. Love, Light & Peace ~ Hari Om Tat Sat ~ Om Namah Shivaya!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Maa Shakti is symbol for courage, bravery and fighting bad things in the world

Happy Navratris Beautiful People. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Worship Maa Durga wholeheartedly. Maa Shakti is symbol for courage, bravery and fighting bad things in the world. Maa Durga symbolizes the divine forces (positive energy) known as divine shakti (feminine energy/ power) that is used against the negative forces of evil and wickedness. She protects her devotees from evil powers and safeguards them. Maa Durga is the goddess of power and strength. She is a multi-dimensional Goddess, with many names, many personas, and many facets. As Mahishasuramardini or Shakti, she is the destroyer of evil - with her ten mighty arms carrying lethal weapons she triumphantly slays the demon Mahishasura. As Sati, beloved daughter of King Daksha and Queen Menaka she gives up a kingdom and earns her father's wrath. As Kali, she turns black as the night and omnipotent, terrible in rage and fury, with just a string of skulls as her garland and her only garb. As Parvati, she is serene, the pretty consort of Lord Shiva by his side in the snowy peaks of the Kailash mountain. She is Bhawani, symbol of life. She is Sati, the object of death. She is Basanti, the heralder of springtime. She is also Amba, Jagadhatri, Tara, Ambika, Annapurna. Worship her to remove all your obstacles of life. Pray to Maa Durga, the Universal Mother, asking Her to use Her destructive power to remove the vices within us (anger, selfish desires, greed, ego and undue attachments), imperfections and faults; and purify us to become a receptacle of her Divine Shakti, Anandamayi Shakti! ✨📿✨
Jai Maa Durga ~ Jai Maa Adi Shakti! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
