Your desire influence your act...
Your desire influence your act...
There is a story about a monkey trying to get an apple out of a vase. The more he pulls at the apple the more the neck of the vase resists his clenched fist. A wise man takes the vase and turns it upside down and the apple falls into the monkeys open hand. When we act under the influence of desire our hands are closed. We create a peaceless state within. When we want to be somewhere the journey becomes longer. When we want to be heard or want them to listen, we lose the power behind speech. To care for others but under the influence of our own attachment or desire is connected to satisfying our own feelings. It means I take from what I give so others receive something that is second hand. To let go of the body, relationships of the body and developing an attitude of disinterest to all desires will make whatever I need come my way. Love, kindness and caring will not run out of fuel or be fickle. Enough is a feast anyway. There is a lot more to this subject, most of which I don't know, but not knowing much is an exciting place to be.
