1st day Navaratri (25 September, 2014)
शैलपुत्री : मां दुर्गा पहले स्वरूप में 'शैलपुत्री' के नाम से जानी जाती हैं। पर्वतराज हिमालय के घर बेटी के रूप में पैदा होने के कारण इनका नाम 'शैलपुत्री' पड़ा।
Shailaputri Maa is the first among Navadurga which is worshipped. Today, Mata is dressed in a ‘Grey‘ saree and on Ghatasthapana which is done that is installation of earthen pot. The colour to wear on the first day for devotees is ‘Yellow‘.
