2nd Day (26 Sep14) : ll ब्रह्मचारिणी ll
नवरात्र में दूसरे दिन देवी के ब्रह्मचारिणी रूप की पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है। देवी का जन्म दक्ष के घर में हुआ था और भगवान शंकर को पति रूप में प्राप्त करने के लिए इन्होंने घोर तपस्या की थी। इस कठिन तपस्या के कारण इस देवी को तपश्चारिणी अर्थात् ब्रह्मचारिणी नाम से जाना जाता है। यहां ब्रह्म का अर्थ तपस्या से है।
Bharmacharini is the second form of mother goddess which is worshiped on the second day. It is believed that this goddess enlightens elegant forms with great power, divine and spiritual grace. The goddess is dressed in ‘Orange’ attire. The color of the day for devotees to wear on this auspicious day is ‘Green‘.
