16 वर्ष की उम्र में मां दुर्गा काफी सुंदर और गोरे रंग की थीं। इसलिए उके आठवें रूप को महागौरी नाम से जाना जाता है।
Maha Gauri is worshiped on the eighth day and is regarded for forgiving herdevotees’ sins and helping them to get purified. the goddess is dressed in ‘Peacock Green‘ color on Durga Ashtami. On this day, Saraswati Mata Puja is done whole-heartedly and ‘Pink‘ is regarded as the color of the day for all.
