Meditation is a committed prayer. Meditation is self-enrichment. It is not something which is done to please somebody or to gain something. Meditation is a personal process in which you bring out your best. Meditation means daily spiritual practice. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. Meditation is whatever you do consistently to clear your own consciousness so you can relate to the infinity within you. It is tuning up your nervous system and attune yourself to your highest inner self. Meditation could be yoga, mantra meditation, prayers or reading spiritual texts or sacred scriptures. Meditation is to increase our loving sentiments towards God and move closer to him. Bhakti, devotion to God with loving sentiments is the sweetest path towards God realization. It has been repeated declared in the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Bhagawatam, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana. The primary aim of doing daily meditation is to increase our loving sentiments towards God and move closer to him. To do that, we must detach our mind from the external material world and attach it to God. It will not happen automatically but we must force the mind to contemplate upon God and his divine virtues.
It will change inside of you, you will grow calmer and less agitated by big and little things that come your way. Your mind will became steady and neutral. You will be able to let go of all your problems and let the divine take care of it. If things are meant to be, they will happen. You simply surrender to your destiny. Meditation changes everything. It works because we are really a manifestation of what we think, eat, do. Our cells are imbedded with imprints of our surroundings and thoughts. By having a daily meditation practice, we re-shape our inner being. We are replace the old patterns and thoughts with new ones. Life begins to shift, to open up, to change. The world looks brighter, lighter, more beautiful!
