OUR AROLI TEMPLE : Construction of the Kshetram Padippura (arched gateway).

All our Kshetram poojas and rituals are been conducted in strict compliance with the Covid-19 safety protocol measures.

Construction of the Kshetram Padippura (arched gateway) is currently on-going. Two paluruppu tree (Artocarpys hirsutus or wild jack tree) were purchased from Mathamangalam Namboothiriilam Paramabil for rupees one lakh forty-five thousand (₹1,45,000). The wooden logs were taken from the logging site (Illaparambu) to the sawmill in order to cut them into sawn timber and then taken to our Payyan Kshetram. It cost 2 lakhs to transport the timber to our Kshetram.

The timber was kept for 1 month to dry and were then cut to size and planed. Carpenters are working for the past one month on the roof of the Padippura. Half of the roof works is completed.

Karkidakam starts on the 16th day of this month. Karkidakam is the last month of the Malayalam calendar, which usually falls during the month of July or August. Kshetram functions will not be started during Karkidakam. So, the placing of the wooden Utharam above the Padippura is planned on 15th July between 12:30pm to 1pm. Once this is done, there is no restriction in continuing with the construction works.
