Shiva devotees offer Belpatra and Bhang Dhatura to Bhole Baba. While other gods offer sweets and different types of food to gods. Despite this, Bhole Baba is kind to those who offer Bhang, Dhatura and Belpatra. Why Lord Bholenath likes all these things, the answer is found in Puranas.
According to the Puranas, when the poison named Halahalal started coming out during the churning of the sea, all the gods and creatures started disturbing by the effect of the poison. In such a time, Lord Shiva drank poison in his arms. To save himself from the influence of poison, Shiv ji kept it in his voice, it turned Shiva ji's voice blue and Shiv ji was called Neelkanth.
But due to the effect of poison, Shiva ji's brain got hot. At such a time, the gods started to flow water on the brain of Shiva ji, which reduced the heat of the brain.
The effect of bine leaves is also cool, so Shiv ji was offered Belpatra. This is the time the worship of Lord Shiva started with water and Belpatra. Shiva ji's brain cools down with Belpatra and water and gives peace. That's why Lord Shiva is pleased with those who worship with Belpatra and water.
There is a context in the story of Shivaratri that, I could not go home due to the evening of Shivratri. She had to spend the night on the oine tree that night. I kept throwing the bine leaves down the tree because I could not fall asleep. Incidentally there was a Shivling under the bine tree. Shivaji was pleased when the leaves of bine fell on Shivlinga. Shivji appeared in front of Bhil and Bhil along with his family received the blessing of liberation!
