LIFE COACHING AND SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE

LIFE COACHING AND SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE

We live in exciting times indeed, when each day new discoveries are happening, inventions are being made, and techniques are being developed . We come across many new terms to describe the current fads and styles. One such term is " Life coaching".
While inventions and discoveries are largely in the realm of "Things of the outer world", techniques seem to point toward the inner discovery or inner change we must make in order to enrich our inner world and experience.
Life coaching is the so called "New thing on the block" and we flock to hear motivational speakers in seminars and webinars, or then, if we are resourceful enough, we go to personal coaches for exclusive training , just as we have a personal trainer in a Gym.
But in fact life coaching has been around in India for a long long time, right from the time of the Upanishadic rishis and their Gurukuls. In simplest of terms, a guide is a person who sees your current position and tries to give you some tips from his own experience which will help you shape your way better in your life journey and goals. Most motivational coaches do a lot of hard homework in preparing themselves to guide others. Presentations, speeches, anecdotes, visualisations, morales , all are woven out intelligently to help us use them in our own experience.
Coaching is not a one time experience, it is often done time and again, because in fact all of life is a teaching. And coaching can be in any field, work, business, sports, arts, crafts, acting, dance, martial arts and so on. But i feel whatever and wherever the guidance is, it will always be better and more effective if there is a definite touch of remembering one's own Divinity imbued in the teaching.
In our general guidance sessions, the emphasis therefore ,is always on connecting with your Divine Self. And we are grateful to the Rishis of Kashmir, who having learnt from Shiva Himself, have left a priceless heritage that is the paramount life coaching, for all of us.
Aum Namah Shivaye.
