GO FOR IT ,OVER AGAIN

GO FOR IT ,OVER AGAIN
Deepest down, all you want
is peace.
But you do not even know that as yet,
because you have still to get across the other stalls, in this carnival of life.
Glitter is charming, but does not last,
stays fashionable only till the next show comes to town.
Show after show, you try all the stuff in the amusement park
but are really not amused at how fast time went
your life was spent
and when you realise this,
you wonder if this is the end.
Deepest down, all you want is peace
He whispers in your soul
come, hold my hand,
deepest down , life is a walk
you are having with God
your feet and His travel
your eyes and His seeing
your name, and His being
know this, and go for it over again.

VISION STATEMENT

VISION STATEMENT
Good morning Shiv bhakts!
This painting has a beautiful and deep symbolism indeed:
We see that the Ganag from Shiva's jatta is falling on the Shivlinga to perform a divine abhishek:
Just like a good leader must give His vision statement,
Shiva trickles down His Divine wisdom to us in the form of the understandings and teachings of Shaivism.
Shiva’s way is to Meditate, receive the Gyan Ganga upon His head, Stabilize the impact and then trickle it down gently for the others, so that they too may quench their thirst- " If you have it, give it freely".
This is simply said, but not so simple to implement. There is a very thin line between intelligence and Insanity. Consciousness means a very high intelligence, hitherto, unknown, to the new seeker. So, it has to be given in doses. So it is not to be given so freely that it leads to insanity, thus we say trickle it. Thus we sometimes fortress Knowledge in far away monasteries, thus some wise men say " Those who know the way , speak not, those who speak, know not the way". But still, we have to give it freely, another paradox! This is a great energy system, akin to a tightrope. We have to learn to strike the balance. If you go too fast, you fall, go too slow, you will fall again. Find the pace that suffices. The Guru is the dispeller of darkness, like the Sun. The Sun enables us to see, but if we look to it directly, we lose our sight, we go blind, darkness again.
So, the Guru may choose a pace, known only to Him. Understand these mysteries first, then go for High dynamic meditations.
Aum Namah Shivaye.

SUCH IS THE DANCE!!

SUCH IS THE DANCE!!
Devi Parvati and her Lord
Shiv
in an eternal dance.
A breathtakingly meditative scene
of becoming, and being
Yin and Yang
Wu and Wei
Transcendence in manifestation
His potency and Her kinetics!
His stillness and Her dynamics!
Her Shiva !
and His, Shakti.
Aum!
Such is the dance
of many forms
such is the pristine being:
such indeed the play of Shakti Shiv
the seer
who has become
the seeing...

NANDI GANA, THE CELESTIAL TOUGHIAN

NANDI GANA, THE CELESTIAL TOUGHIAN
One day, as Rudra saw the herd of oxen approaching the greenlands, He noticed a head above the rest, almost as if a man were walking erect. It was a strange sight. This thing, it was like a man; it had the body of a man, but it was built like a bull. The chest must have easily been among the largest that Rudra had ever seen. When the humongous creature came right next to Him and thrust its face forward, Rudra noted that it did certainly have the face of a bull. There were two magnificent horns on the robust head. The bull smiled, displaying pearly white teeth. But what shocked Rudra almost out of His skin was when He heard “Namaste Rudra.” The bull actually spoke to Him! It was His first encounter with a Minotaur.
“You speak?” Rudra uttered, He actually couldn’t believe what He had heard.
“Yes, I learnt your language, my Lord,” replied the Minotaur.
“My Lord? You know me? We know each other?” asked Rudra.
“I know of you, and I have always wanted to know you, and be with you as my Lord,” replied the Minotaur.
“And why is that?” asked Rudra.
“Because I want the best for myself,” replied the Minotaur, flexing his chest to its enormous fullest. “I want to be the best friend of the best Being in the cosmos, nothing less. For I am Nandi,” He thundered. “Nandi, the strongest Minotaur that has ever been, will ever be, and I, Nandi, will serve only the greatest Lord as my Master and best friend.”
“Oh well, I am flattered,” replied Rudra. “But I am nobody’s master, I am by myself here, and all these are my friends.”
“Hahaha! You joke well!” thundered Nandi. “You are the Master of the world, and you are my best friend, and no one gets to you without getting by me, from now!”
“Why should anyone not get to me?” said Rudra irritably. “Why would I need you?”
“Perhaps you are the one new here, perhaps you do not know that beings, even some animals, can be malafide, and I need to be your guard, now and for ever,” replied Nandi stubbornly.
“You will guard me from who, exactly?” asked Rudra bemused.
“Not who, but what,” replied Nandi.
“Alright,” Rudra was intrigued. “From what?”
“Evil intent,” replied Nandi. “And loneliness,” he added softening his voice.
“Lonely? Why would I be lonely?” asked Rudra, looking at the rest of the oxen.
“Because anything is possible to anyone. We do not always remain with the herd,” said Nandi. “We have to be strong at heart, no matter how gentle we are,” he added mysteriously.
Rudra was amazed at the insight of the humongous Minotaur.
He had only learnt one part about the denizens. Gentle at heart no matter how strong. But here was Nandi teaching Him the rest of the wisdom... strong at heart, no matter how gentle.
“Alright then,” He said, punching at Nandi’s chest in affection. “We are friends from now on.”
“Forever?” smiled Nandi.
“Promise,” said Rudra, this time holding His hand in the air for Nandi to hold in a gesture of friendship. As Nandi clasped His hand back, Rudra could feel an immense power, a live current, as if bonding itself was animated into life. The friendship was to go on to become a camaraderie that would be celestially famous.
“You are one tough chap, aren’t you?” smiled Rudra
“Yes, Master, I am a toughian,” said Nandi, flexing his chest again.

STAND FIRM

STAND FIRM
When the world around you reels
stand firm.
When no one has trust or belief
stand firm.
When all that you made goes to dust
stand firm.
When the ones you love, turn away
stand firm.
When neither night nor day ends
stand firm.
When the storm refuses to go away
stand firm.
Stand firm in your own Self
see the circus of the world just as it is:
All this play that goes round and round,
just like the earth tipsy on its own ground ,
up then, now down, down then, by repetition bound.
Stand firm O seeker of Shiva!
One day all will be found.

SHIVA'S TRANCE

SHIVA'S TRANCE
He often drifted into a whirlpool of questions. What was His role in this world? How far had He played out that role? Where had He come from? Where was He going?
He had serial memories of the past, lucid visualizations of a future, strangely woven together into a spiritual Déjà vu.
A tizzy mix of past life regression and peeps into future progressions, would become His surreal but thrilling ‘mind ride’.
The whirlpool of imagination was actually like a trance that revealed to Him the matrix of the entire universe.
It was as if time and space danced around Him in astral dimensions, to rouse His own ancient rhythm. A dance that led Him to an understanding of how the entire universe, all things, anything at all that existed, came into being.

HOME TO KAILASH

HOME TO KAILASH
“Shall we go home now, my Lord?”Asked Parvati.
“Yes, I think we have had a wonderful week in your father’s hospitality, and it is time we went back to Kailash.”
Himavat, who had also walked into the cave to wish Shiva and Parvati a happy day, remarked, “We would love it if you would stay here for longer, but as you wish, my Lord.”
“Thank you, noble King,” said Shiva, and then turning to Nandi, He just took his name. “Nandi…”
He then gently put one arm around Parvati, and lifted Her easily off the ground. He seated Her on Nandi, and then looking at the wedding party one last time, sat on Nandi Himself.
Nandi let out a bellow that startled everyone with its tenor. It was like the call of a truly happy celestial elephant. He got up steadily to his full height, careful that Parvati would not feel a jerk, and hoisted his riders to a majestic position of an exalted throne.
The royal drummers of Himavat’s court, who had also congregated by now, started beating their drums, breaking out into a lilting rhythm. The Shiva ganas promptly drew out their damarus and started playing them with equal vigour. The confluence of the palace music and that of the mountain men was, indeed, fabulous - a divine jugalbandi.
And thus began Parvati’s journey to Her abode in Kailash, amidst drums and trumpets, roars and fanfare. Kailash, where She hoped to live happily ever after with Her Lord, Shiva, who was also the beloved Lord of the world.

I FELT THEE, SHIVA

I FELT THEE, SHIVA
My tree of waking
only showed me,
that all trees
are of your making.
In the root of my soul I felt Thee, Shiva.
Leaf by leaf,
learnt the Dance.
The tree of my waking
set the forest shaking.
In the root of my soul,
I felt Thee, Shiva.

MEDITATION

MEDITATION
“The curious mind, which has, so far, identified itself with its conditioning, thoughts, and own conceptions, yearns to transcend itself, to know the truth about the truth, to reach the unreachable. Meditation, is a step to introduce this mind to the truth. During meditation, the meditator strives for maximum awareness.” The snake articulated his words thoughtfully.
“Yes, and this striving is paradoxical too, it comes only after complete relaxation and ‘at easeness’. One should not be, therefore, rigid or conditioned even about approaches to meditation. Continue”, said the Yogi.
“In due course, it perceives many new sensory lights, sounds and smells, which for it, did not exist earlier. These serve as indicators of progress. The mind now knows that there is nothing known as soundless. That in fact, the absence of noise which we call silence, alone leads to anahata, the eternal resonance, vibrating the universal hum. Similarly, that, which we have known as darkness, is actually permeated by lights.”
“Yes, and the winds carry the scents of the Divine, which are now tangible, real. So, meditation, in fact begins to sharpen our senses, and they discover newer dimensions, get hooked on to hitherto unknown frequencies. Continue”, said the Yogi.

SEATED QUIETLY ON EARTH

SEATED QUIETLY ON EARTH
Shiva is the power that seated quietly on earth, creates a whole Universe.
In this Universe, there are billions of Suns and uncountable planets, indeed far more beautiful than earth. But there is something magical about this little planet. Something so magnetic that it makes the Gods of the far away galaxies want to take birth on earth even if they are to be an ordinary human being.
And that magic is Shiva.
Those who have ever known Shiva once, want to know Him always; Want to be with him forever. And when a God in the most distant galaxy awakens to the memory of his own time with Shiva, he leaves everything in his kingdom like a dream and begins his travel plans to earth, to be with the uncrowned King once more.

THE HIGHEST DESIRE

THE HIGHEST DESIRE
Everything, every single thought, feeling, experience, desire, is frozen in His cosmic memory.
Slowly He trickles it back and lets it live it's life.
So too, The wise, knowing that everything we can even think, Shiva can create , tell us " O seeker keep the highest desire of being with Shiva Himself, and then watch how, from life to life He manifests that into a reality."

THEIR STORIES SING THE MOUNTAINS!

THEIR STORIES SING THE MOUNTAINS!
Their stories sing the mountains till eternity...
on every stone the commandment of loving bliss.......
somewhere ,
in the deepest prayer a seer did see
Siva Sailendra,
The Mountain King,
And He, in Majestic magnificence did decree
the vision of love,
" From love shall all be!'
Then She, who abounds in parvats , beloved Parvati,
manifested the Divine wish,
somewhere in the mountains, a Rishi did see,
the eternal bliss:
She manifested! Ah!
and by the side of her Mountain King
forever joined,
their stories the mountains did sing!
echoes of love resounding eternally
earth to sky ,
Namah Shivaye, Aum Namah Shivaye!
