HAR HAR MAHADEV-Take away the Darkness!!

Photo: HAR HAR MAHADEV-Take away the Darkness!!

Made of two words Gu and Ru, which means darkness and dispelling, therefore Often compared to the Sun, The Guru is one who returns you to your original nature of light, by simply dispelling the darkness and dross you have accumulated in worldly sojourn. Inasmuch as that, the Guru is not a giver, but a "taker away.." thats why we say Har Har ...Mahadeva to beloved Lord Shiva, the primordial Guru. The word Hara means, 'to take away"

Sadguru Deva Namaya !
now that I meet the truth,
He will give himself, I thought,
but, he simply took.
All that darkness gone,
with just one look,
what remained as resplendence, was I !
Sadguru deva namaya !
Welcome to your self ,he said, you looked for God,
He gave you me,
mystic is the circle of return,
I give you He!
We are all,
reflections
of we,
lighten up, and see!
{From Naam Roop- A Tribute to the Divine,2006 }

The Guru works in mysterious ways. Sometimes he says things and gives instructions directly. At other times he delivers the right message with apparently wrong words. Sometimes what he says today is understood years later. Fortunate are those, upon whom God bestows a Guru. For, fortunate are those upon whom the Guru bestows his blessings. The ultimate blessing of the Guru, is when he introduces you to your self. Then, life takes on a new dimension, a new meaning; the whole of life becomes a Guru itself. You understand the unity of all things, you see the oneness everywhere, you have been returned to God by the Guru. Understand this mystic circle of return.
