YUJA
Yoga is to deploy the body and mind to discover that you are not just a body and mind. Yuja, the sanskrit word means literally, "to yoke".It suggests a state where one is conjoined to the primal consciousness. But this too, is at best a pointer. How can one be conjoined to that which is everything?!!
One can only be "that".
In reality , one has always been that, so there is no re-joining.
So what is enlightenment, what is awakening?
It is not becoming something new, but just becoming Aware of what you have always been.
The Kashmir Shaivites use a term for this, that suggests a " Re-cognition" ; a remembrance of one's Divinity that has always been intact. Yoga is to become aware that you are essentially Siva Tattva, which constitutes all things of the world....
As i always say "Yoga, is to try to yoke to supreme consciousness and find that you were never seperated!"
Aum Namah Shivaya!
