Sri Rama's Ishta Devata is Lord Shiva. In Bhagawat Puran there is a story about Maa Lakshmi getting angry with Lord Vishnu. Shri Vishnu told her that half of his heart is dedicated only to Lord Shiva. And in the rest of half, all the creatures of world and all deities including his wife Lakshmi resides!
