!!!!!..........The Importance of the Shraavan month..............!!!!!!!!!!
1 ) According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva is worshipped during the whole Shraavan month. This month is known as Bholenath’s month. There is a legend behind this. According to this legend, Sati sacrificed her life in her father, Daksh’s house. Before doing this, she swore that she would marry Lord Shiva in every succeeding life.
2 ) Devi Sati was born as Parvati in the next life. She was the daughter of Himalaya and Maina. In this life, Parvati fasted during the month of Sawan when she was young. Lord Shiva was impressed and since then, fasting during the Sawan month has a great value.
