when we meditate, we focus on the tip of where our third eye is. At first, there will be a discomforting pain, but as one continuously focuses, it will feel as if it is pulsating, and one lets go and keep the mind still, focusing on nothing while meditating on the mantra "Om Namah Shiva". The whole world becomes a blur, and in this blur you will realize that whatever matters will start to become clear.
