KYOTO:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the second day of his four-day visit to Japan with a visit to the famous Toji Temple in the historic city of Kyoto. As he went around the complex of the ancient Buddhist temple, he was accompanied by his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe. 

The two leaders spent about half an hour at the complex during which they were briefed by the Chief Monk Mori. Toji Temple is one of Kyoto's many UNESCO world heritage sites.
