Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah ~ Om Shiva Om Shakti Namah Shiva Namah Shakti! 🙏🏻👁🌙🐘💀🐍🙏🏻
Ganesha, Ganpati or Vinayaka, the names may be different but the feeling is the same. Lord Ganesha is the lord of success and wisdom and is the remover of obstacles. The characteristic elephant head and pot belly have become his identity. Ganesha is the youngest member of Lord Shiva’s family and is known to be very dear to all the Hindu deities. Though, there are many famous tales associated with the birth of Ganesha or Ganesh, the most popular is that in which his mother Parvati prepares a statue from clay and blesses it with life. The statue turns into none other than Ganesha, who is fond of sweets. The chubby, gentle, wise, elephant-headed Ganesha is the deity whom worshipers first acknowledge when they visit a temple or start their worship. Ganeshas name literally means the lord of Gana. He was entrusted by Shiva with the leadership of the Ganas, Shiva's dwarfish, rowdy retinue, in compensation for the loss of his human head.
Before beginning any auspicious work Lord Ganesha should be worshipped. Lord Shiva said that before any beginning any pooja one must pray Lord Ganesha and seek his blessings. Ever since that boon bestowed upon him, Lord Ganesha is worshipped right at the beginning. With devotion and dedication people pray to Lord Ganesha so that he removes all the obstacles of their path and leads them onto the path of prosperity. He takes away all the worldly attachments. He also graces devotees with knowledge, spiritual success and power. Lord Ganesha is known for his love for Modaks. Therefore offering modaks to him is considered an essential part of the worship. 🐘🕉📿👁🌷🍚🌱🐚🙏🏻🎨
