Durga meaning Invisible, is a form of "Shakti" or Urjja so the word AL-URJJA came into being. When literally translated, the word ‘Durga’ in Sanskrit means a fort. For her devotees, Durga means the Shakti who eliminates all sufferings or ‘Durgatinashini’. The legend is that whenever her devotees needed the Shakti to ward off evil for their lives, Goddess Durga manifested in one of her many forms and vanquished the demons. Devi Durga symbolizes freedom from all evils. The word Durga embodies freedom from all evils like injustice, cruelty, hatred, ego and other forms of pain and suffering. Goddess Durga’s image symbolizes power and divinity as well as compassion for her devotees. Her ten arms symbolizes that she protects her devotees from all directions. In some of her forms Goddess is depicted with three eyes, the third being placed in the center of the forehead. The three eyes represent the moon, sun and the third, fire. The red saree signifies fierceness in fighting evil.! πŸ‘πŸ”±πŸ…πŸšπŸŒ™πŸ””
