In Mahabharata , during the kurukshetra war Arjunas chariot had Lord Hanumans flag on it. Hanuman ji is a symbol of victory. Rama fought the war with the most prosperous kingdom of Sri Lanka. Rama fought with just a bunch of monkeys and just a few people with him. Shri Rama went to fight Ravana in battle , Hanuman Ji was the commander of His army. And when the army moved they hoisted the flag of Hanuman ji. Wherever there’ is Hanumanji , there’s always victory. Hanuman ji’s flag signifies sense control and mind control that gives victory to the higher nature over the lower nature.
And Many flags have an image of Hanuman Ji, This is confirmed in the Bhagavad Gita. In Bhagavat Gita Chapter 1 ~ "At that time Shree Arjun, seated in the chariot bearing the flag of Shri Hanuman ji, took up his bow and prepared to shoot his arrows.” The flag hoisted on Arjuna’s chariot, which was driven by Lord Krishna, carried the flag of Hanuman Ji. The emblem of Hanuman Ji on this flag indicated natural victory and auspiciousness. This was a positive display of imminent victory. Hanuman Ji is accepted as the spiritual guide and mentor and the devotee thereafter follows the direct principles of devotional service to Shri Rama. His flag symbolises that one has conquered all the evil elements around oneself and achieved victory.
In Shree Hanumanji’s Chalisa it is stated “Hatha Vajra Aura Dhuvaja Viraje, Kandhe moonja janehu sajai” ~ “You carry in your hand a lightening bolt along with a victory (Kesari) flag and wear the sacred thread on your shoulder”. Lord Hanuman is one of the 'Chiranjeevis'. Hanuman Ji, being one of the Chiranjeevis has been granted with the boon to live forever. He protects his devotees just like he protected the chariot of Arjuna throughout the battle of Kurukshetra by residing in Arjuna's flag. ✨🐒🚩✌️🐵📿🕉✨
Jai Shri Ram ~ Jai Mahavir Hanuman! ✨🙏❤️✨
