SAMUNDRA MANTHAN
I saw this beautiful picture on the net, and wanted to share my thoughts . In a parallel to Shiva Natraja, Lord of the celestial dance, surrounded by flames, This is a very interesting juxtaposition of Shiva on the scene of Samudra manthan. The ocean has been weaved with the wavy and tossy mats of His hair.
Above all the turbulence of the what finally emerges from the is the Divine self itself. Shiva in all his resplendent glory symbolised by ornaments, is indeed a rare picture.
And the message is clear for the sadhaks and meditators:
After the intense catharsis of self introspection of our own mind ,
Beautiful nectar comes, just like the churning of the Ocean.
