Not He , who the eye can see, but He, because of whom the eye sees.
The Upanishads describe Atman ,Paramatman, Nirakaar Brahmaan like this.
But Shiva is also Bholenath, also Ashutosh,
if we have the right bhava, His heart melts, and He gives us full Darshan of Himself. The interesting thing is that in Kashmir Shaivism, Darshan means both the holy sighting, and also the means to realisation given by the founding rishis and Gurus.
