What a regular daddy!
I saw this picture of Shiva family on the net and instantly liked it. While some people feel no one should make cartoons on God,
i didnt see it like that at all:
God is everywhere, and all things are permeated by Him, so if someone wants to express about him in a particular medium, there is no harm, if the intention is to share good feelings!
So this is not a cartoon on God, rather it is God, represented in a cartoon, so that even children can understand.
Those of us who were children thirty years ago, can never forget the amount of Amar Chitra Kathas we have read! and the amount they taught us of God! They still stay with us, those lovely stories.

Coming back to the present pic: I love the fact that Shiva is a regular daddy, taking His little kids out : literally carrying them out to the world! This gives us a great insight into why God creates the world:
Its an act of parenting, you bring forth a life, then you nourish it, watch it grow, and then, one day it can become mature enough to actually transform into a wise friend. So this is God's way of expanding His own Self- Through his own children.
Namah Shivaye.
